Her mention of his enjoyment of having Kohl in trouble with the council saw the man offer her a loose shrug of his shoulders all the same, unwilling to either deny or accept the claim though perhaps some tiny more sadistic part of himself took some amusement from the fact that the seemingly perfect existence of Kat and Kohl was not entirely so flawless. It was petty to be sure, the man entirely aware of that and yet some part of it irks him all the same. For now however, he is far more inclined to focus on actual business and not the miracle that Kat had actually managed to do what most Hunters failed at profusely at in finding herself, well, a seemingly committed partner. She turns her attention back to the papers as he heads for the door, golden eyes rolling at her comment in regardless to preparedness between men and women, her lips pulling into a smirk as she brushed past him. There was something to be said, he supposed, for a hunting partner who was actually useful. Far too many of the newer Hunter's coming through the Council were energetic, willing, but so unexperienced they were a hindrance more than a help. Kat, at least, was refreshing in that sense. It takes barely a moment for the man to pass her all the same, already out and upon the street before she moves to join him, her muttered comment hardly missed and yet for now Azrael merely allows a single brow to raise in response before allowing her to fall into step beside him- her attempts to tease him continuing.
Why half the supernatural world seemed so content to make fun of him he truly hardly knew, the man oblivious to how very much his own nature seemed to lend him towards the jokes of others so willingly, eyes narrowing in a scowl all the same, a soft snort exhaled as he simply continues in silence, making some effort to simply not respond to the woman unless needed, his irritable personality readily shining through this evening before he mentions a need to visit Alexander.
"Please, you find him equally as agitating I'm sure. He spends his days making coffee for the creatures he is supposed to be killing- now he's apparently taken up horse-riding as well, or something like that, I didn't read it all. Why the Council cares about his hobbies I don't fucking know. Either way, it's a pain the ass of a mission- rather him then me doing it."
He moves to shrug once more, heading now for the North side of town, the sun already beginning to set though as Kat had said perhaps it didn't matter entirely too much. They were sure to be more talkative with the threat of sunlight and yet darkness made them so much easier to find. He is content to allow the silence now, seeing no further need to engage his companion in conversation, his own thoughts turning readily within his mind. The closer they moved towards the north side however, the more inclined the man became to press them aside, far more focused instead on the task at hand.
"We should be close now. Be alert."
One hand moved easily to push the golden blonde of his hair aside, turning smoothly down the nearest alleyway and off from the main street and away from the night life already beginning to assemble. For a moment the eternally youthful man felt himself scowl, the alley wet, dirty and carrying with it a stench he hardly desired to linger nearby, moving quickly through and towards some sort of club that seemed to linger behind. One hand lifted smoothly, a wait signal and silent request for Kat to stay where she was. He hardly doubted the girls ability, more so, this was simply a task he excelled at more readily then others. Single flash of speed sees the man disappear and reappear near instantly within their hiding place in the alleyway once more, one hand gesturing now towards the warehouse.
"It looks abandoned but there is small door on the other side with two men outside it, people don't guard abandoned dance clubs. The men are not vampires either, both, oddly, are warlocks. I ran around the building. There are a few windows though all of them are boarded up, we can try the roof- unless you want to just go straight through the front door, might attract attention though and I don't know who or what's inside."
