Samantha was well aware that the dingy appearance of the two of them â€" they were from the West, after all â€" made them stick out like a sore thumb in the wealthy Northern district, just as she also knew that the sales clerks saw her pointed ears and chose to step away from her. She could literally feel the disgust that came rolling off of them, and she knew it was more in regard to their appearances rather than her species, but it was still enough to make her sigh. Still, that hadn't stopped her from making sure she pointed out the band she wanted to Raven, grinning to herself at the nod of approval the wolf gave her before she turned to flag down a member of the staff. She had most certainly thought that flagging down a sales person would be easy, even with the distaste they showed for her. But she had money, and she had every intention to buy the piece she was pointing out. But that she was ignored only caused a pang of hurt in her chest. "Oh, um. C'mon Raven... let's just..." She started, rather confused when Raven handed her the bags. "Raven?"
The sudden shift in the woman caused Samantha even to step back, the hiss starting under her breath. "Raven, what are you..." She whispered, though it was completely drowned out by the shrieks and shouts that the other patrons of the store were using as they fled the store. Samantha looked towards the cameras, thankful that they seemed to be trained on the ceiling and not on the floor â€" well that was stupid for security â€" but at least they wouldn't be caught from this. What was it with the Weres she hung out with and the sudden need to shift in the middle of their shopping excursions. She was sure it would be only moments before someone phoned for Animal Control, and she wasn't sure how she would talk her way out of it this time. When the last patron was out of the store, she narrowed her eyes at the wolf. "That wasn't nice, Raven." She said, though it was clear from her tone that the girl was remarkably amused by the whole adventure that Raven seemed determined to set them on. It was rare â€" at least for Samantha â€" to see the girl take on such a role, and Samantha couldn't deny that she enjoyed seeing Raven stand up for herself.
Within moments, the wolf had handed the watch band to the fae girl. "Thank you," She said softly, tucking the black band into the pocket of her purse for protection. "You didn't have to do that, even though that was incredibly bad ass of you." She smiled, reaching over to the now-human girl and putting her arm through Raven's, linking them as they strode proudly out of the store. "I think that Aiden will love it. I can't wait to tell him how you got it for me." The girl grinned, tugging her away from the crowd that had formed and back towards the way that they'd came. In the midst of everything, they had hardly expected a faerie girl and a human girl to walk out of the shop. No, it was clear that they had not been paid attention to, not even slightly.
"Now, about that jacket..." The girl grinned and leaned into her friend, nudging her happily. "I think we've had enough excitement for the day." And it was true, they'd certainly caused enough trouble in the North. Samantha was happy that they'd spent some time together, and even happier that she had gotten Raven out of her comfort zone and into some new clothes that she certainly deserved. "I think that you should wear your blue dress next time you do something with Tobi. I bet he'd like that a lot." She smiled warmly. "But for now, let's get those sweets and head home." It was all she wanted to do now, get something sweet for her Aiden and go spend the rest of the day curled up in his arms, and that was exactly what she intended to do.
