There was no denying the disbelief that filled him to find William live and wholly well, despite his current species. That uncertainty was the first word that fell from his lips despite how utterly uncharacteristic it might have been. Usually, he embraced his companion before leading him off elsewhere to discuss in detail the latest gossip he had discovered or the latest adventure he had in store for them. This time, however, such usual antics were entirely on paused if only for the vampire's concern for those emotions of his companion. William was, by definition, far more in touch with those sensitive and, sometimes, overwhelming feelings whilst Sebastian himself more often than not either hid them from the world at large or let such distressing thoughts roll off of him entirely. After all, they were made to be at stife. His own instincts when it came to William's kind were either fight or flight - while William's entire existence was but to murder his. How this would interplay with that once close-knit relationship they had was a mystery to the man. And so, instead of dwelling upon such dismal thoughts, a whole line of inquiries out poured from his lips.
His eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly as he watched his companion - the man clearly considering those answers to what he thought was entirely innocent inquiries. He hadn't anticipated the response he received, especially that Will was hiding from the council and yet, he hardly considered it particularly peculiar. After all, Sebastian had avoided his maker for months, much less any coven that had ever held an ounce of interest within the vampire. He hardly bothered to inquire upon it further, assuming only that perhaps those murderous instincts had not fully taken hold of his soft spoken Duke. The Witchery, however, was a place he knew well, the man unable to deny the simper that crossed his features at the sheer mention of it. "Oh, Rowena actually let you stay there? Blimey. That peach knows how to run a hotel but she gave me a real bollicking for stay more then a fortnight.....so I bought the house next to her in the North." There was a notably impish grin upon his features at the sheer mention of the witch though he was in truth quite fond of the sensual creature, all jesting aside.
It was, however, that suggestion of how long William intended to stay that so lingered entirely upon Sebastian's mind, especially if he was on the run from his own overseeing council. He watched as his companion drew closer towards him, the man hardly reacting as William's hands were placed upon his shoulder and yet, the very syllable of his own name drew his attention so readily as a sort of cautious seriousness so bestruck his companion. His lips pressed together in thought at the simple suggestion that William wished to remain here, with him and yet, whatever thought struck him was momentarily pushed aside if only for the utter ridiculousness of the statement that was to follow. "If I couldn't stand it? Bollocks, you're the one with murderous instincts. I just constantly will want your blood." A small shrug crossed his shoulders at the decided candidness in which he stated very much what he was. It was perhaps only William that could so wiggle effortlessly beneath that facade of utter politeness he often presented the world at large.
That pleasantness, however faulted if only for a perhaps more serious thought - Dorian. His hand reached up, running lightly through his hair as his gaze turned towards his companion. "William, I...I have nothing against reliving our glory days....if you are okay with what I am...but I cannot leave here. The council will find you, they're bloody everywhere here." It was the stark truth of the matter. Everything that William was running from, whatever it was, would surely catch up to him if he stayed. Sebastian hardly expected him to finally turn and face that which so haunted his steps for is own benefit. And yet - he had made a promise to the fairy King and now that he had a glimpse of this love thing that had been eluding him the entirety of his life, he altogether refused to leave it.
