They day had been long, the night even longer. The assassin had not slept in well over 48 hours and it was beginning to take its toll, she wanted nothing better to do than take a taxi cab home and sleep for a week, a month. And she was on her way to doing that, except she couldn't flag down a damn cab nor did she have any sort of method to hail an uber. Grounding her teeth together, she curses violently under her breath and turns on a heel and strolls down the street. Vhal did not spend much time in the north, yet it suited her tastes perfectly, if she had lived a normal life perhaps she would have settled down somewhere here. But she did not have an ordinary life, nor would she ever have one.
Breathing deeply through her nose, she tilts her head back, face warming in the sunlight. Letting her lengthy white braid fall over her shoulder to her back, the tip brushes her top of her bottom. It was going to be another hot day in her tight fitting suit, she wanted nothing more than to strip and fall into her deep tub and soak for hours. Shaking away her desires she prowls forward again, the dangerous look plastering across her features kept the people at bay and crossing the street to get away from the feral woman.
Pausing, she feels a cool breeze caress her face as she turns to face the bar. Perhaps a drink and food would restore her energy, at least enough to get her home without ripping someone's head off. Turning on a heel she enters the bar and almost sobs in relief at the air conditioned bar. Strolling towards the bar, she knew she should be less... imposing but her hunger was taking over all self-restraint. As if in answer, Vhal's stomach rumbled loudly as she took a seat two barstools away from a man who was also inspecting the menu.
There was no need to wave down the bartender as he was already there, menu in hand and a water glass being set before her. Narrowing her eyes at him, the bartender eyes the assassin a moment too long, his eyes roaming freely over the curve of her body. Raising her brows at him she plasters a smile on her face, yet it wasn't a smile, more of teeth baring at the man that drained the color from his face and scurried away quickly. Rolling her shoulders, she crosses a leg over her knee and inspects the menu.
Reaching for the water she takes a deep drink, the cold liquid running down her throat like a breath of fresh air. Coming back up for air, she waves down the bartender who still looks as pale as a ghost and is hesitant to approach the assassin but he does, because he is the only one working and was far too fearful to kick her out. "Surprise me," she purrs at him, her eyes narrowing, morphing her features into a dangerous look. Handing him the menu back, she wondered briefly if the man would attempt to remove her from the premises. Shrugging, she hadn't done anything wrong... yet.
Again, her ice blue eyes take in her surroundings as the bartender goes to place her order. There are few people in the bar at this time and only one other sitting at the bar itself. A man who looked like he had far too much energy in comparison to her own exhausted state. Sighing, she reaches out for that water glass again and plays with the water ring on the bar, her face drawn, completely drained.
