The ebony feline hardly voiced a word in response to those questions that so lingered upon the young woman's lips, hardly wishing to tell the tale of his demise. It was a story few new and one he himself had voiced only in parts to but one. Thankfully, that growl that so left his lips seemed to be enough to so get his irritation across, the lupine providing him a look that seemed to speak volumes of her impertinence. His own fur was entirely bristled, his tail snapping from side to side in his irritation and yet, Tetradore hardly bothered to refute such a claim that he was an ass, after all, he was well aware of exactly what he was and freely welcomed this 'insult'. However, that silence lasted only as long as the woman declared that she was a pick worth any Alpha. He could hardly deny the incredulous snort that left the panther's nose, his head shaking ever so slightly and yet he hardly had a moment to voice his own contradiction before the woman had lept off the edge of the cliff and into the darkness that existed beyond. For a moment, the feline simply stared at the darkness, inhaling softly before he followed, leaping into that oblivion.
He had anticipated, somehow, that there was some trick to be had at this mission that somehow ended with the man proving himself in some such ridiculous notion and yet, he hadn't quite expected the ground so rising up to meet him but only a few feet from his jump. His emerald eyes so slid around the new environment he found himself within. He knew well the woman was watching him, his voice reaching out to her to call her out on her lie, one in which she was entirely content to refute in her own eternally infuriating way she so did. A soft huff left his lips as Tetradore followed his companion into the cave, his ears flicking ever so slightly at the sound of liquid that so dripped down the stone cold walls, echoing in that silence. He remained silent for a moment, before his thoughts so reached out to hers, finally answering that inquiry that she had so incredulously uttered quite some time before. "I came across an individual who could control cats." It was the only explanation he cared to provide of his time with Risque, his tone altogether placid and indifferent as it was anytime he spoke of her, the man changing the topic to one that was of far greater interest to him.
"And as for you, no - I would hardly accept someone so impertinent within my pack. Your alpha must get exhausted dealing with you every day when you bicker about every word." He grumbled, more to himself then really the woman in front of him. God, she made him nearly miss that little family he had so carefully crafted, the tight knit group were utterly blissful in comparison to his present company. Still, he followed her never the less, knowing better than to ask where they were going if only for the snarky response she was sure to give him. At least she couldn't be snide when given nothing but silence.
