Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Samantha Cassidy

The hotel bar was practically crawling with the lust and raw emotions that Samantha was content to wash herself in if only because it would a nice change of pace from her own emotions. The Fae, in all of her desire to simply escape the world, had truly paid no attention to the very fact that she had stumbled into a hotel bar. No, she had simply followed those emotions into the building and now that she was here and not quite so drunk on the emotions, she had to admit that she felt decidedly underdressed. She should turn around and wander out of the building and straight home. But no, those emotions were like a breath of fresh air and the empath couldn't quite let that go, at least not yet. Her skin prickled as she made her way up to the bar with that distinct feeling of someone who was being watched.

It was as soon as she placed the order did she hear that British accent speak to the bartender, and it took several seconds for the Fae Queen to understand that the words were meant to be heard by her. Almost instinctively, Samantha smiled. Her eyes traveled over to the sophisticated woman that sat at the bar. Oh, wow. She was beautiful. She made that black dress look flawless in a way that Samantha was sure her own body would never do, and Samantha found that she was instantly intrigued by the woman. She managed to sit herself in the bar stool next to the woman with some measure of grace, her hand reaching out to take hold of the wine glass that the bartender offered her.

"Thank you," Samantha said in an attempt to be smooth, though she was sure it sounded squeaky and not at all eloquent as she imagined. Who was she to think that she might so attempt to fall into place in a place like this? She may have been a faerie queen, but there was little she knew about classy establishments such as this one. Still, Samantha was here for a reason, and if this woman had already taken an interest in her, then who was she to deny that. The woman's attention might lead to some interesting emotions, and Samantha would do anything to escape her own head for a little while.

"You know," Samantha said with a grin. She leaned her elbow on the bar, tucking her slender fingers under her chin as she regarded the other woman. Her red hair seemed to cascade down her shoulders as she turned her head, and she hoped it looked elegant and not at all like the frizzy mess she felt like some days. "If you really wanted to talk to me, all you could do was ask. Though, I do appreciate the drink." She flashed a smirk as she lifted that wine glass to her lips to take a drink of the scarlet hued liquid. "Though, I don't think I appreciate the drink as much as I appreciate how that dress is working for you." She set her drink down once again, extending that hand over to the beautiful woman. "I'm Samantha. And you are?"
