Sebastian Ellington
Cause i've been dancing with shadows
waiting till the morning after
A small frown crossed Sebastian's lips at the young woman's response that she hardly knew the men that had invaded the bar, despite her clear eagerness to involve herself within whatever was transpiring at the bar. His eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly as that sneer so crossed the features of the man she'd attempted to stop. His dark blue eyes darted towards the bartender, the man clearly more than willing to give up whatever they desired if it meant his own life. What little job loyalty he had. A soft breath left his lips, mirroring the ivory haired woman that had but prior moments interested him. The woman's goading voice slowly drew his gaze once again to the trio that had congregated in front of him, that glint of that silver blade caused him to shift a step backwards with a hint of cautiousness. He knew well what silver could do to his figure and, for a moment, Sebastian found himself struggling with stepping to her aid or letting this play out in whatever fashion it would regardless of him. The vampire was hardly the knight in shining armor that perhaps he was supposed to be, nor was he particularly cowardly, he simply didn't enjoy that rush of adrenaline that came with things such as this.
The vampire remained exactly where he was, simply watching with mute silence as the woman so teased the men whom so effortlessly seemed to toss her around. In fact, it wasn't until the mention of Ceara that his attention was roused. His head immediately snapped upwards at the man whom had initially threatened the bartender. His fist clenched ever so slightly, his dark blue gaze seemed to narrow in that singular moment. That one singular word seemed to so seal the deal on Sebastian's involvement. Truthfully, he was hardly even certain that the owner of the establishment would refer to him as anything more than an acquaintance and yet, in a way, Sebastian viewed her as a sibling in death, children of sorts from the same delusional vampire. His gaze quickly shifted towards the staircase and the third of their little group as he made his way further upstairs - a place where he knew well his maker and Ceara herself too happened to be. It was instinctual, that simple need to protect them.
It was only the movement in his periphery that dragged his gaze from that fateful staircase, a small shrug crossed his shoulders in response to those words mouthed in his direction. In that simple moment, Vhalla had been the least of his interests, his entire focus positioned entirely on ensuring what unwanted pathetic family he had in his death remained relatively safe, even if he often avoided them or wanted nothing to do with them. In fact, Sebastian hardly even reacted to so being called Vhalla's boyfriend, much less the way that she stepped into him. In but seconds, he was entirely gone from that fight that broke out. Those men lunged at Vhalla in his wake, one with fist flying and the second with his silver dagger flashing in the low light of the bar and yet, the vampire himself could hardly be found. Sebastian hardly even glanced behind him as he heard the contact of flesh on flesh though whether or not Vhalla took the punch or threw one of her own remained to be seen. Instead, the Englishman was slipping through the crowd, shoving aside any bodies that got in his way as he made his way towards the stairs and that retreating figure.
Sebastian caught the man halfway up the staircase, his hands grabbing at that fabric as he pulled the man back down the stairs with a force that was held only by his own species. The man grunted as he slammed into the wall and yet, Sebastian himself was hardly sure what to do with the fellow now that he had caught him. He usually tried to avoid killing, to avoid death of any kind and yet, his morals seemed to fight entirely with his desire to protect them. The man swung at him, attempting to toss him back against the wall and yet that punch hardly phased him. It was a slight tussle on the stairs before the vampire had managed to toss the man quite literally down the stairs, sending him tumbling down those last few feet to the bar he had just left. He slowly made his way back down those stairs, his gaze momentarily glanced towards Vhalla just to see how well the young woman was fairing.
