She literally shines under the restaurant lights. It makes her eyes glow like neon lights and they're pulling me in, offering me temptation. I know that there's something with Sam. I feel it deep in my chest, but I also know that she's not ready for that. She's still gotta grieve over her fallen boyfriend, the love of her life. She needs time to heal and I'm going to give her that. I'll be with her ever step of the way as a friend, maybe even a close friend, but I'll be waiting for her to be ready. Until then, I have options and Amelia can fulfill some of those. She's not a rebound or a settlement by any means. She's beautiful and smart and not at all what I've always expected a vampire to be like. I don't know what could be with Amelia and I but I'm willing to find out. I like her a lot and she seems to like me too, maybe just for my looks but that's okay. I think we make a great time and I like having her as a friend, maybe even more. Of course we've gotta see where the night goes first. I notice all the subtle signs from the moment I picked her up. She's giving off pheromones like crazy and I'm falling for it. She's sexy as hell in that dress and the more I see of it, the more I want to see it on the floor next. When she sits before me, I notice all the alluring curves of her body like I'm seeing them for the first time and I'm very appreciative. I remain ever the gentleman, giving her soft smiles over the candle between us. She deserves the best, after all. I smirk at her comment about wanting everything to be special. "Special, huh? The last time I heard that, it was a girl talking about losing her v-card. All that talk about wanting everything to be perfect, rose petals and all. I did save your life but just remember that I'll never turn down a good bacon cheeseburger. Don't think that I don't appreciate this, though. It's really nice. Been a while since I've been in a nice restaurant." I can't help but laugh when she says the cat's out of the bag. "Well, darn. I hope you at least got real diamonds. I do love the shiny things." I give her a teasing wink and grin. When I ask about the menu, she shakes her head and assures me that she finds it rude. I raise a brow but it's not my place to tell her what to order. I've never been that kind of guy, anyway. I chuckle. "Alright, alright. I surrender. I'll just get this weird fowl looking word then." I point to it for the waitor who gives me a look like I'm an idiot. I give him a look right back but I'm not offended. I pour us both a glass of wine as she speaks of being classy, giving her a knowing smile as I hand her the glass and raise mine. "I figured as much. I think a cheers is in order. What shall we toast to?" I raise my brow at her with a small smirk tugging at my lips. |
