Samantha Cassidy
Samantha half expected the man to be repulsed by her so blatant admittance that she was at the bar because she was lonely. Or that he might write her off due to the way that her voice cracked around the edges as she admitted it. But she was. She was lonely. She missed Aiden, and there was no hiding that no matter how hard she desperately tried to keep it out of her voice. But almost against her better judgment, the woman continued to lean into the man in both an effort to keep herself close to him and simply keep herself upright. The joyous smile that broke out onto his face at her words brought a small smile to the Fae Queen's lips all the same, and she let out a soft laugh as he leaned to touch her knees with his. "I'll hold you to that promise," Samantha said, her voice sounding slightly slurred around the edges. Still, she reached for that new glass the bartender had deposited in front of her. A little alcohol wouldn't hurt anyone.
Still, even despite the way she leaned in to him and their brushed knees, the woman was hesitant to touch the handsome man across from her. Or at least she was until she leaned forward a little more and so abruptly toppled off her stool. The Fae Queen grabbed ahold of his arms to catch herself as she fell, glad that he also somehow managed to catch her. She didn't even mind the way his hands found her hips and pulled her in. No, his touch was welcomed. She liked it. She loved it even. She loved the joyous way he laughed or the way he smiled at her. It was only then that she brought up the notion of his very species. She wasn't afraid of him. Even if she should have been, there was something simply electric about the man in front of her.
"You haven't drank from a person?" The Fae Queen echoed, a hint of wonder in her voice. As far as the girl knew, the only way for a vampire to survive was to feed off the blood of a human, and if this man had somehow found another way to get around that, she was decidedly curious. Especially when he mentioned that notion of a willing human. Why anyone would willingly ask to be bit was beyond her, though Dorian did seem to love the bites that he received from his lover. And Samantha had... well it hadn't been all that bad that one time, now had it? The girl shivered slightly at the memory, working to shake that away as quickly as she could.
"You can certainly have my attention," Samantha said at his prompting, a giggle on her lips as she leaned into him. The continued hand on her hip had her full attention. It was entirely the alcohol that had her bursting out the status of being a queen, as though it meant anything at all. She supposed it did. She had a few people who thought she was important, and even if her monarchy was small, she still held some kind of sway over the fae within the burlesque. Or at least she had. She had until she stopped going to work there. Did they still think she was important at all? Or did they see her for what she really was? She wasn't important. She wasn't anything except for the reason why Aiden had...
His sudden standing made her thoughts stop, her eyes lifting in surprise as she was pressed almost flesh against his chest. Her smile had faded to just a tiny little thing now, her eyes slightly watery as she thought about Aiden and the way she felt deep within her chest. His words seemed to have some sway over her. The more Malek focused on her, the more Samantha wanted to pull herself in and have his attention. Even if she could still think about Aiden, the thoughts were less so... Less overwhelming. It was the notion that she was peculiar had her laughing. "I am a lot of things, Malek. Peculiar is perhaps the nicest thing that you could call me."
It was the notion of dancing that had the girl blushing. Oh how she wished that she could so effortlessly move her body within the club and dance with him. Samantha was just about to open her mouth to protest that she, sadly, couldn't dance when he smiled at her, and her stomach seemed to swoon. She wanted to kiss him. Was that terrible to want to kiss him? "It's okay. I can't dance anyway," The girl said, her arm on his as she slid her hand down to hold his own. "But perhaps we should find somewhere more private, no?" She giggled at him before she tugged hard on his hand and pulled him towards the door into the alleyway.
