The buzz of the phone within my back pocket is not missed but I merely glance at it and smirk. If Azrael really thinks I would be late to one of the biggest catches in hunter history, he's seriously off his rocker. I've been positioned outside the Witchery for hours, just not as out in the open as he appears to be. I can see his golden locks standing out in the light of the street lamp from here. How long is he going to stand out in the open? Seriously? Doesn't he know if the witches are watching, they could cast some mojo on him from there? I shake my head at his bravado. Men and their egos. I've been lying back comfortably in the branches of a tree, waiting for the cue but apparently Azrael is growing impatient. I at least wanted to get William out on the street to make sure it is in fact him before we strike but he apparently wants to make an entrance. Attack them in a Witchery with all that magic and foolishness all around them? I don't think so. The last time we were in there, we almost lost our lives. I can feel the presence of two hunters within the Witchery and I'm curious to know who could be with William. Has someone gone rogue from the Council? I'm sure they'll be very intrigued to find out. I bet Azrael is wondering the same thing. The small click of the door opening calls my attention but before I can focus in on the two hunters and find out their identities, a blinding white light takes over the street. Grunting, I quickly pull up my arm to shield my squinting eyes, secretly cursing Azrael for his tactics. I couldn't see if it was indeed William or not! I blink rapidly as the blinding light starts to fade, seeing just enough that I know Azrael has already moved in. I leap down from my branch and make my way over, seeing that we're one hunter short now so Azrael must have grabbed who he believes to be William, leaving me with the cocktail dress wearing redhead outside on the step. I move up the steps, my blades already in hand as I move up to her. "Don't move if you know what's good for you." I state steadily before glancing into the doorway. I can see Azrael attempting to handcuff the man he's holding, rolling my eyes as I continue keeping a careful eye on the huntress beside me. "Is it him, Azrael? Did you even get a chance to look or is your ego running the show here?" I raise a brow at him before turning to the huntress. "Looks like you were hoping for a less eventful evening. #sorrynotsorry." I can't help but smirk a little. |
