North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

Amelia hadn't meant to start a conversation with anyone tonight. She was unsure and jumpy and the sudden words from the young woman next to her nearly made her jump straight out of her skin. She fought to hold what was left of her wine as she looked over at the young woman who was already scooting her chair over in a polite and social manner. "Just anxious is all." Normally crowds did not bother her, but ever since the last time she was nearly killed in a crowded bar, they now made her a little uneasy. She supposed things would get better in time, but she just wasn't sure how much time was needed for these types of wounds to heal.

Taking another sip of her wine, she focuses on watching some of the people passing by and she can't help but wonder which ones were out to kill people like her: vampires. Perhaps sitting outside wasn't the best idea. She had no protection out here. But something draws away her attention. The woman next to her is speaking, saying she has ghosts. "I'm sure everyone does to some extent." Amelia had no idea she meant that she had actual ghosts around her. Amelia had never stopped to wonder if the dead moved on or if they hung around looking for a way to pass on.

She finishes off her glass of wine and places the empty glass on the table just as the stranger is introducing herself. Cecily. It was a cute name. Amelia offers her a soft smile. "Amelia. It's nice to meet you, Cecily." She should at least try to be social, even if she wasn't really feeling it tonight. Amelia was always the sweet girl next door...there was no need to ruin her reputation even with all that was happening around her.
