She felt satisfaction spike within her as her teeth grazed that tender flesh of his muzzle, retaliation for trying to bite her with those big flat teeth. How dare he! She hated when grazers tried to act like predators, trying to use teeth that weren't meant for ripping and tearing flesh. She could show him a thing or two about what real teeth look like. When she danced away, laughter fell from her lips and when she looked at him, she was surprised to see the befuddlement in his eyes as he watched her. Did he not think she should be having fun? Was this not supposed to be something she took enjoyment in? Fighting had always been her favorite thing to do. She was just good at it, or so she felt, anyway. It seemed to come naturally to her. Maybe it was because she always followed her instincts. It was second nature to her. She didn't stop to think about all the different angles. She just went for the best shot and if that didn't work, she always had a plan B. The way he started running at her back and forth next though just got on her last nerve. Where was he getting at, trying to trample her like last week's garbage? She deserved more than this! But it seemed he was determined to win. She would just call it desperation and leave it at that. When she said her surrender, he slowed down, his stupid thick neck arching and she rolled her eyes and sighed at the sight. What a show off. But her brow did rise when he turned back to her and suddenly there wasn't a horse in front of her but a human again. She had to learn how to do that. When he crouched in front of her, she curled her lip up, showing him one pearly white fang a she eyed him with expectation. As he looked over himself, her lips tugged into a self satisfied smirk, eyes twinkling with satisfaction as he praised her work. She could tell it wasn't something he was used to doing. Did his voice ever actually sound interested? She would have to push him and find out. He sounded too much like a robot for her liking. As he held out his hand, she glanced down at it and snorted in distaste, glancing back up at him and considering for a second before she darted in, grasping the forelock that covered his eye and giving it a sharp tug before she danced back out of reach, yipping in laughter again and giving him a look. "THAT'S FOR TRYING TO TRAMPLE ME." Only once he agreed they were even would she come back to him, patiently sitting in front of him again and curling one lip in a wry smirk before she reached out her paw and laid it on his palm. When she first felt the bond reaching out to her, she stiffened, the feeling completely foreign to her. A soft growl pressed past her lips and her brows furrowed in puzzlement but over the next few seconds, the feeling started to recede, or rather, it didn't feel so unpleasant anymore. She shifted her weight as she pulled her paw back and he straightened up. It still felt odd...it was hard to get used to it. It was like she could feel him. She could feel others too. Who were they? Her ears flicked back and forth in confusion. They were strangers to her and yet suddenly they weren't anymore. When he looked back at her, she tried to refocus on him, blinking in surprise. She scowled at his words though and snorted again, ears pressing back. "NEXT TIME, I'LL AIM A LITTLE LOWER. NOT LIKE YOU NEED KIDS, ANYWAY." Her eyes twinkled almost teasingly as she snapped at the air in front of her as if she were already picturing that tender target, raising a brow at him again before she yipped in laughter and wagged her tail. She did notice the use of a word she knew she never said aloud but for now she wouldn't follow it, if only because they'd already had that arguement and she had found that he would say anything he could to shut it down. She would just follow her instincts as she always had, his word be damned. She tilted her head as he gestured toward the woods, letting her know that he would rather they went to his house. She thought on the matter for a minute, her ears flicking in uncertainty. She felt more at home in the cover of the woods than anywhere else but in a way, his victory had meant he would be calling the shots. She knew that from her time with Caesar in the pack. She knew it would be different now but she also knew that much didn't change. The alpha was the final word and as of now, this horse was her alpha. She could feel it in her very core. If he preferred his house, then the least she could do is trust his instincts on this and see how it went. She nodded. "HOUSE, IT IS. BUT IF I SEE YOU GRAB FOR A BROOM AT ANY POINT, I'M BITING IT IN HALF AND YOUR ARM IS NEXT." She bared her teeth in another grin before she started walking in the direction he had pointed out. She knew he could keep up at this pace and he would probably catch up to her at any point and lead the way, so to speak. After all, she had no idea where he lived. She guessed she was going to find out though. |
