Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Staying in her thickened fur was like keeping her amour on. Serafina was a stranger and it did not matter if she belonged to the witch as her familiar or not. Being connected didn't necessary mean that she could trust the raven-haired woman. Her own kind would attack her and they shared blood. Which led the girl to have a strong belief that she couldn't trust anyone at the first go around. It would take some time before she established some form of trust with the grey-eyed witch. It had taken months before she allowed Tobias to touch her, but every now and then she still flinched when she was in her human form. As for the auburn-haired vampire her touch was always accepted, because she never showed herself as a threat. Though the she-wolf held some fondness for Alexis, neither one wished to touch the other, both within their own mindset that touch was just something neither one wanted. Shedding her ebony fur for her pale marked flesh was a sign of trust, and that was simply not something she had for Serafina- for now.
There was something comforting about sitting in the front seat with the fresh scent from the fast moving air flowing through the car. Grey trimmed ears twitched, perked and alert, tired eyes watching as the wood scene turned into buildings, driving through the town at the dead of night with hardly anyone around as the lights were dimmed. Her handsome chiseled skull would turn to look at the woman, observing her quietly and carefully, wondering just why in the world this girl was always in some sort of trouble. First the Dark Hunter. Now this dead mentors of her. Really what was next? A coven of vampires barreling down her door, a pack of feral crazed weres circling her house bracing to rush in, or a mere human throwing holy water on her and preaching she stop her heretic ways. The list was numerous and her mind seemed so troubled by it, the idea that Serafina could be harmed was not something she was pleased to even think about. Shaking her head at the mere thought her eyes darted to the floor of the car, focusing on the threads in the floor mat. As the witch began to speak only her ears twitching showed she was truly listening. The idea of being her familiar was...odd. She had absolutely no idea how to accomplish such tasks she was supposed to have, only a few seemed reasonable, but the rest...well, it was obvious she wasn't meant to be that for the young woman.
"I don't know if I'm good enough to be a familiar for you. Sure I can follow orders and protect you, but the whole power and spiritual guide...I don't think I can help you out."
As the car continued to move and Serafina stopped speaking a soft snort left her muzzle as her head lifted and returned to the window resting her head on it, allowing her eyes to close and the various scents to overwhelm her. She knew her presence was required elsewhere. No doubt her spotted feline friend would be pacing the warehouse annoyed that she was not there with food, but his stomach wasn't important tonight, she was drawn to be here for the witch and so she would stay. As the vehicle began to slow down she would lift her head and climb over the console and front seats leaping from the car, following the woman quietly. Grey trimmed ears would fall back to her ebony crown in a guilty manner when she mentioned the broken fence. Although it wasn't her fault the fence broke she still felt guilty about, and as a matter of fact, rather sore along her sides and back- thanks to her mentor throwing her into the fence. Her shoulder would brush along the woman's' leg as they walked up the stairs side by side, only pausing to wipe her paws before stepping in, remembering how the young woman liked keeping a clean house. Moving through the hallways, following the girls scent that would lead to her territory, her bedroom, the young lupine would wait for her to enter and close the bedroom door before sliding down and laying on the hard floor. Assuming this was the best place to be to protect the girl, should any foolish being dare try to open the door, she would lay her head between her grey paws, somber eyes shifted upwards.
"I'll stay here...keep you safe. That's what you need me for tonight, right?"
