Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

you could rattle the stars.
you could do anything,
if only you dared

The assassin was restless tonight, she couldn't sleep and though nearly all her aches and pains had nearly vanished, a bruise still poked out the top of that ribbon. She still hadn't gone to see Sebastian yet to have it removed, she was still furious at him for taking her blood and using his magic on her. That was the only thing that Vhalla could think of, it had to be magic, the witch couldn't be reduced to a whimpering mess by something like that. Especially a vampire. Furrowing her brows at the memory, she pads quietly through the apartment, trailing her fingers across the books in her library but knowing she wouldn't be able to focus and read anything in her state.

Heaving a sigh, she exits the room and heads towards the lounge room, her figure clad in simple sweats and a shirt, her feet bare against the cool ground. The assassin hesitates in the middle of the room, her eyes lingering on the couch before they flick towards the piano on the other side of the room. It had been ages since she had played, perhaps that's what she needed to relax that restlessness prowling through her. Making her way towards the bench, she lets her fingers trace the smooth wood cover before pushing it back to reveal the gleaming keys. Taking a seat, she tests the peddles and plays a few tentative notes.

Taking several deep breaths, she closes her eyes and begins to play.

Its moments before she parts her lips, her voice cracking through the first lines before she finds her rhythm. Her voice has an almost delicate beauty to it, unlike her outward appearance, her features are serene, if but a little sad, and she sings and sings and sings her voice weaving a dance, falling and rising with the tune. She plays for a long while, transitioning into song after song until finally her throat is so parched she is forced to stop. Ending the last song, she lets her fingers trail across the keys again, her eyes opening finally to study the piano.

She sits there for a while, still feeling that restlessness lurking in her. It was late, she needed to get rest the assassin had finally gotten information on her next target and she would be taking them out soon but the thought of laying done made her feel almost itchy. Pushing back from the bench, she snags a water bottle on the coffee table, taking a swig before exiting the apartment and heading downstairs into the warehouse. Her bare feet are nearly frozen against the cement floor and the cool air brings goosebumps to her arms but she moves towards the light switches anyways and flicks them on.

When Vhalla turns, she's so startled she drops the water bottle, the water splashing at her feet as she notes the very large cat on her ledge. Blue eyes wide, she narrows them quickly, "Tet?!" she snarls at him, prowling closer to him, having to lean her head back to glance at his form above her, "What are you doing here? I didn't realize you enjoyed breaking into someone's home," she grunts at him, letting her hand find a place on her hip in a very Vhalla-like gesture. As she watches him, it suddenly dawns on the assassin that the way he is so casually reclining there in his cat form, he had been there for some time.

Her face instantly flushes pink as she takes a step away from him, her arms coming up to fold across her chest, her hands rubbing at the goosebumps on her arms, "How long have you been here?" she asks suspiciously, "Did you... did you hear all of that?"
