Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

if these wings could fly for the rest of our lives
The noise that reverberated upon that stage was utterly awful. It wracked through her brain and made her head hurt and she just wanted to hide. Which she did, quite promptly. Her small form dug as far back into Arlo's hood as she could without risking toppling down the man's back, she covered her ears with her paws, burying her head within his shoulder and still, that infuriating sound was far too loud for her own liking. Thankfully, her companion seemed to regard that noise with the same level of disdain, quite quickly retreating from the front of that bar and back to those muted hallways in the back. A soft breath of relief left her lips as she tentatively peeked her head from the comforting escape of that hood - only to have her companion so abruptly stop at the sound of his name, his full name. Her hazel gaze shifted between the two vampires in an altogether inquisitive fashion. Did Arlo know him? This man certainly knew Arlo. It wasn't until the fellow introduced not only himself, but also his title that the pieces of what surely must have occurred began to fall into place. She knew well of those arrangements to be made for the dead. Though she hadn't the faintest idea of whom it was that had died, it was almost second nature for the woman to want to be there for her companion in what she classified as a time of need.

Abigail remembered far too well what it had been like when her mother died. It felt as if she was walking in a dream, as if her heart had been ripped from her chest as she was too astonished to find it beating within her hands to make any sense of what was really occurring. That blank look that crossed Arlo's features seemed to remind the young girl of that very moment when she had come face to face with the loss of her own parent. Her head gently pressed against his cheek in a small, reassuring nuzzle, as if that gesture of affection could somehow impress upon him that, whomever had died, it would all be okay. She'd never expected for that paperwork to be offered in her direction and yet, a singular glance at the man told her well enough that he knew exactly what she was. Arlo hardly seemed quite in the right state to deal with such tasks and, quite abruptly, Abigail thrust out her paw, allowing her own affinity to embrace those pads just enough to leave a colored paw print upon that line and all the other ones thereafter.

The young girl could hardly help that glimpse of curiosity upon her features as Arlo was thrusted a singular box and yet, she hardly saw a need to be anything but supportive if she could. Rather, she simply watched as her companion questioned the object in his hands, the vampire across from them entirely content to provide little of way of information. Her head bobbed ever so slightly in polite return of those words of departure, leaving the pair alone once again with nothing but the muted thudding of the music outside and a single shoebox. A soft chirp left her lips as Arlo stared at that box, her nose pressing gingerly into his cheek as if she was capable of nudging him into some sort of action. This was hardly the sort of place she wished her vampire to break down at - though, she supposed that with grief, it wasn't like you could just hold it in till it was convenient either. Did Arlo know Patrick was dead before now? The girl hardly complained as the man shifted to sit upon a nearby crate, pausing to open that lid of that box only to reveal the rather peculiar contents inside. Those softly uttered words that left Arlo's lips certainly mirrored her own thoughts in that moment.

Her head ducked as the man reached up to pull off that hood and yet, after her cloth of protection was removed, Abigail was entirely content to sneak forward, leaning as far forward and down as she could without falling off of his shoulder. Her little nose twitched as she sniffed the box at large, watching as Arlo lifted the first object from it. Cacti! She recognized that little guy! The Epiphyllum! Dis one was just a wee itty bitty thing but it would grow and then have flowers and look pretty! It just needed some love! A rather chipper chirp was given towards the cactus, the girl looking altogether delighted by it's presence. They were going to keep it....right? Her head tilted to the side as Arlo saw fit to inform her of his maker's love affair with the peculiar plant life. Even she had to admit it was rather odd - after all, it wasn't often many people took to caring for cactuses. Still - this was neat. Her eyes lingered upon that little plant, even as Arlo turned back to the box only to pull out a ticket and a small piece of paper. In fact, it wasn't until the sound of Arlo's voice that her gaze shifted, her body moving back towards the man as she glanced over that password.

The other objects were eyed with the same sort of curiosity, none truly as intriguing as that little plant, at least, not at first view. Rather, it wasn't until that rather old looking cellphone was pulled out of the box that Abigail's interest was piqued. She had only just gotten her first cellphone, the device itself was near mystifying to her. She had never seen one quite like this. She watched in awe as that phone suddenly turned on, the device flashing that logo with bright white letters before turning to the home screen and then, promptly, launching some sort of program that caused....well...lots of colors and text. Computers were not Abigail's best of skills. Not that she was terribly incompetent at them...but hers had been rather...dated when compared to those. Her gaze shifted at that inquiry and truly, Abigail gave him the best efforts at a shrug, though she doubted it was terribly noticeable. She hadn't the slightest notion of what it was or...what this little device was doing but it clearly knew and it was chugging away! Maybe if they just left it alone then it'd eventually finish it's little job and them tell them...well....something? Maybe? That gasp that left her companion's lips drew her gaze and yet, the panda hardly expected the way that box was slammed so abruptly back down. She near flinched in surprise, her hazel merely blinking as her companion began to speak in rather rushed and almost panicked tone.

It was instinct, almost, the way that purr began to reverberated within her throat, as if she was capable of calming the man with just that sound alone. The female pressed her figure around his throat, as if near forcing that purring calmth within him. Everything would be okay, right? This was just a fancy new power. I mean, she had some fancy powers she hadn't the slightest idea of what to do with. But she had them. It was that near plunge into darkness that saw her heart leap in surprise, her gaze immediately turned upwards. Uh oh. This wasn't good. That declaration that they had to leave, however, caused a near sense of panic in her in return! No! Not the plant! A near frantic bark left her lips, the girl unwilling to let that little plant be forgotten. In fact, it wasn't until she was certain Arlo had plucked that little pot up too that she quieted, shifting back to that near purring sound as she settled upon his shoulders, entirely prepared for that simple fact that he clearly intended to leave as quickly as possible. Abigail hadn't the faintest idea of why this had upset him so much but she had every intention to stay by his side until that sun rose, if not even longer still.
