Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

aiden tetradore

Tetradore was certain the young woman could hardly comprehend how utterly well he knew that simple sentiment that so plagued her. For months after his freedom, Tetradore had existed within a state of near paranoia, constantly looking over his shoulder and eying the shadows with a measure of distrust. It was as if the very demoness of his nightmares might materialize in that darkness the moment his guard dropped in the slightest. Oh yes, he knew her fears well. His head bobbed ever so slightly, attempting to agree with her in some effort to assist in reassuring her. Sometimes, the thought of the distance helped, though he suspected if this Alpha was truly keen upon ensuring his grip on the girl remained, it would hardly make a difference. Even so, he was prepared, if she accepted his offer, to take the woman from that living nightmare she had been doomed to for so very long. "It takes time to stop thinking of life like that...but it will happen, I promise." The man offered her, perhaps revealing far more of his own childhood than he had intended in those moments. Death, he was sure, would be the only thing that would truly offer her some security. It wasn't until the death of his own mistress that he found himself no longer holding his breath. The fight had been worth every moment of that freedom he had gained and every year of it that now laid before him.

He was hardly aware of the impact that his simple agreement to that notion that this could be paradise had upon the woman. Nor was he entirely attentive to the fashion at which she so seemed to stare at him in some new light. It was true that it was rare that Tetradore was willing to truly open up to any soul and yet, he knew he needed to talk to someone of all that weighed upon his mind tonight. He was far too close to the situation to not let those emotions afflict him and his judgment. Indeed, Tetradore had learned the hard way that there were consequences to actions made on pure feelings alone. Those very worries that rested upon his shoulders had a way of drowning the King, even if he made every attempt to appear wholly calm and placid in every regard. Though it certainly felt better to know his thoughts upon his sibling were not wholly unwarranted, this hardly helped for him to find that ever elusive answer. Then again - so much of his life was like that, wasn't it? The very mention of that fire that had destroyed his childhood had a habit of reminding him of that simple fact.

He focused on those simple facts. They lived in the forest. There was a fire created because of what they were. Everyone died. They grew up apart. It was straight forward, void of all of the emotion that he had so long ago distanced himself from whenever speaking of that past. That memory had been walled off from him after a near century of taking every means necessary to feel nothing of his plight. Self-pity, after all, never did well for anyone, did it? That effort to remain apathetic to such destruction was interrupted only by that soft hand placed upon his own, that action entirely baffling to the man. How long had it truly been since someone simply touched him with the effort to calm him? Since someone had been so...peculiarly...sweet? It caught him off guard, his eyebrows furrowing briefly as those emerald eyes settled upon her hand and yet, Tetradore found himself almost uncertain of how to react in the wake of that action. Rather, he glanced up towards her fair features as she began to speak, reassuring him of that which he knew well. 'What if's' were a dangerous thing, a thing a younger version of him had once played before he had been so metaphorically "broken" by Risque's cruel hand. How many days had the young boy spent crying on the floor in the months after his capture considering that very thing? Far too many than he cared to admit.

"I know." He stated, quite simply, as if trying to reassure her that he was hardly on the edge of some sort of emotional breakdown. He didn't have the luxury of such a thing. Rather, Tetradore simply swallowed those feelings, locking them somewhere deep in him in the fashion he so often did. It was quite purposeful, the way he turned his attention to something else - to something business related. That apartment lacked the taint of those delicate emotions, the man entirely willing to offer such a thing to her if she had wanted it. It was quite a promising deal - she needed a place to stay and he needed a tenant for that condo. Her insistence that she needed to see the place before agreeing prompted a near teasing tone from his lips, that nudge of her foot only prompted a warm simper in the wake of her words, mirroring that of her own. "Fair enough." He offered in return to that suggestion that, perhaps his apartment was the Santa Clause of all apartments. The notion alone amused him. Still, he hardly expected that such an offer would prompt her near demand to take him out and have fun - whatever that consisted of. As long as he wasn't required to come up with such a thing, he supposed he had little difficulty in ensuring whatever tallying system they were using evened out in some fashion. That assurance that she'd come up with something prompted his eyebrow to raise and yet, Tetradore merely nodded in agreement.

Those softly uttered words of contemplation drew the man's emerald eyes towards her figure, meeting that glimpse of curiosity with one of his own. He certainly hadn't expected the mention of that rather small tv that had been shoved in the corner. It was one of the few items Samantha had left in the apartment that he hadn't yet seen to replacing. It wasn't as if he was against tv, he just....didn't always have time for it. "I don't even know if it works..."He admitted as he eyed what little he could see of the small box. "We can try." It was, perhaps, not quite a 'yes' but it was the closest she would get from him. Slowly, he maneuvered his way towards the entrance, squeezing past the woman as best as he could without disrupting that rather precarious fort. The man stretched as he stepped out into the openness of that room, slowly padding towards that dusty tv. He knelt down in front of it, attempting to turn it on via the remote only to stare at it with a frown when it did nothing at all. With a slight huff, he hit it against the palm of his hand, trying again only to find...nothing. Great. The man tossed it aside, checking the wires in the back to ensure they were properly in only to press the button on the tv itself. It took a moment before that screen slowly flickered on, the blackness giving way to fuzz and static. "Well, it seems you might be in luck." He called over his shoulder, "What do you want to see?"
