Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
"God, can't your teeth bite faster - I hate this fucking cold." His baritone voice grumbled, a jacket loosely wrapped around his figure. With winter besetting the city, the were-panther had taken to staying within the vicinity of the ark rather the venturing out into the blistering city. if there was any one thing he knew, it was that tropical jungle cat did not belong in the snow. However, if there was any one individual he was willing to risk the cold for - it was the red head vampire that he owed so very much to. Tetradore brought his hands to his face, blowing at them as he rubbed them together, his emerald eyes settled upon the evergreen tree his Beta was attempting to bite through with his abnormally strong teeth. It would have been a deeply amusing scene - if it wasn't for the nipping cold that seemed to even go through his layers of clothing. Christmas was, quite frankly, a holiday he'd forgotten about all together. For years it had just been another day within Risque's domain, one in which the club was relatively quiet. The last Christmas he could remember celebrating was the year before his parent's house had been mercilessly burned to the ground. This was the first Christmas he'd be spending once again in the presence of his family and, quite frankly, even Tetradore wanted to make it worth it.
Tetradore heard the crack of the fir tree, his emerald eyes shifting upwards to note the direction of the tree. "Tobias - here." He called, making sure the boy wasn't in the way of the fern as it tipped to the side and crashed into the snow underfoot. It was surprisingly easier then Tetradore thought to fasten the tree to the top of the sports car that he and Tobias had confiscated from the previous Ark owner. In truth, Tetradore was more concerned about the tree staying on the car as they made their way through the city and, perhaps for the first time in his entire life, the were-panther actually made an effort to drive under the speed limit to ensure that it arrived in tact. With surprising ease, Tetradore pulled the tree from the top of the car, allowing Tobias to continue to fuss over the mysterious gifts the boy had brought with them, gifts he'd hardly allowed for Tetradore to see. It seemed as if he was not the only one who hadn't had a Christmas to celebrate within years.
He traced those familiar steps up towards the apartment with Tobias, tree, and presents in tow, hesitating only at the door way to Isolt's flat. In truth, his own relationship with the two women on the other side of the door was strained at best. His sister seemed fit to think him some sort of blood thirsty ghoul hiding under the bed of little children, waiting for the right moment to strike. And Isolt? The radient vampire constantly left him questioning where they stood. He held only vague memories of their last counter, bits a pieces coming back to him in perfect clarity while other parts were unmemorable behind all the alcohol that had been coursing through his system at the time. A soft sigh left his lips, knowing all too well that this evening was entirely capable of going straight to shit and yet, oddly enough, the lanky deviant's desire to give everyone presence was the exact kind of Christmas cheer that encouraged the were to ensure that this night did not become the disaster that it potentially could be. With a soft inhale, Tetradore steeled himself to whatever was to come, his hand tightening to a fist as he lightly knocked on the door in front of him.
