Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Residences

There was an undeniable joy of sorts to so stepping foot in that brightly lit ballroom. That space crowded with those family and friends the couple had chosen for themselves. This part of their wedding day, after all, was reserved for those very people they knew and loved best- rather than the dignitaries and politicians that custom alone dictated they invite. That grin that danced upon the Monarch's features widened all the more as those applause rang out, his fingers intertwined with Sebastian's own as they made their way into that beautifully decorated space. Everything was distinctly perfect, just as they had designed it. From the colours to the decorations and the flowers- along with that food that took up but every spare space along the sides of the ballroom. That delectable chocolate fountain had hardly gone unnoticed as it stood beside those ice sculptures of their own house animals standing so proudly and surrounded by those other beautifully arranged foods. The Monarch's gaze lifted briefly to that ardent blue of his husbands own, that soft squeeze off his hand offered in simple delight and that place and moment in time they found themselves within before the very first of those guests begun to head toward them.

Dorian's hand extended readily toward that man whom introduced himself as a director in one of Sebastian's mining companies, that thanks for his attending their wedding barely free of his lips before the poor fellow was all but cut off mid-sentence by the tiny child vampire whom had pushed right to the front of that neatly formed line. If Dorian so felt but any hint of disdain at the girls arrival however, his features so hardly displayed it. It was no secret, perhaps, that his and Anna-Marie's relationship was nothing short of strained. The Monarch so loathing that power the child was capable of wielding over his new husband too- any claim she seemed to believe she had over him. Dorian's own decidedly possessive nature prone to flaring in her presence. After all, she was the cause of so very much of the grief in his lovers life and yet, today, Dorian so refused to allow but any of those unpleasant emotions to sully the perfection of that ceremony. The Monarch instead merely choosing to indulge the girl in her idle whims. He was, if anything, an unfailingly polite creature in every instance. A part of him still very much hoping he might find some sort of positive relationship with the child. It it was at all possible. That smile remaining upon his lips as she spun, showing off that dress with delight. It was, if nothing else, a terribly pretty dress.

"It looks simply divine, as do you. You look exactly like a Princess."

He assured her simply, only to be promptly informed the wedding had had to much talking in it. Truly, it was rather something of a miracle the young woman had managed to sit still for that time at all. Dorian so willing to count such a thing as a blessing all the same, the small vampire child becoming readily distracted then by those macaroons she had previously pilfered. Her hand opened to offer one to Sebastian. Dorian quite unable to suppress that soft chuckle.

"I fear most weddings have a good deal of talking in them, but no, we shall not have to do another one. That one lasts forever. Thank you for coming Anna-Marie."

His gaze flickered but briefly to his new husband once more with that single utterance of forever before he crouched downward to offer the young vampire his thanks for her attendance as he would any other guest. Dorian rising to his feet once more just in time to see Troy approach. That smile readily finding his lips again as his hand moved eagerly to clasp the other Fae's hand in his own. Dorian nothing but delighted to see that member off his own Monarchy there. The Fae King inclined to find Troy a terribly agreeable sort of person and, above all, a good man. One lucky enough to be blessed with a child to call his own and a female companion as equally lovely. That little family nothing short of entirely welcomed within his own halls.

"Troy! It is good to see you. We are so pleased you came and brought your family too. Amelia, you look stunning."

That warm simper was readily turned upon Amelia then as she came to stand at Troy's side, Dorian unable to prevent the fashion in which his gaze was drawn to that child in her arms. The very one whom had been so eager to make its way into the world the night Sebastian and himself had come to dine with the pair. How fortunate they were, truly, to have such a gift as that. The small vampire child taking that opportunity to reach her fingers towards him, Amelia quick to pull them away. Dorian hardly daring to voice his suspicion as to just why that child reached so eagerly for him. Fae blood, he suspected, appealed to vampires of any age. Dorian's fingers remaining entwined in Sebastian's own in that delicate moment. It would not do, after all, for Sebastian to perceive any sort of....threat from an infant.

"You had a little girl then? She is positively lovely. What did you name her?"

He inquired readily and with a near genuine curiosity. His mind content to contemplate the peculiarities of a vampire child as that little family headed toward that offered food and yet, it seemed, he was hardly to be afforded terribly long to contemplate such things at all. The Fae King so finding himself being offered a distinctly bizzare congratulations upon his birthday by a terribly tall, lanky man. A fellow he had only met once before and yet Tobias so had a habit of being rather unforgettable in every sense. Dorian watching the man wander off in near the same moment and quite before he could be thanked for coming at all. Those accented words uttered to Sebastian then.

"Why on earth do you suppose he thinks it's our birthday? Does he really think this is a birthday party? I quite think he just stole Andras' dessert."

That near baffled look continued to reside upon his features and yet the Monarch was hardly perturbed by the unusual man in any sense. He had experienced the fellow at least once before and in comparison to his being chased by the Werecat- merely being congratulated for the wrong event was far more pleasing. Raven however, was quick to step forward and offer those apologies. Dorian's features softening notably at the sight of the curly haired woman dressed so nicely for that very event. How pleased he was she had come! Raven one of the first friends he had ever made in this city. That soft chuckle rising from his lips then.

"It's is perfectly alright Raven. I am so glad you came, we both are. Your fiance too. He is more then welcome to help himself to anything he might like. There is no need to worry."

He offered the woman that reassuring grin once more as she hurried off. The next couple in line received with a ready eagerness then. Arlo and Abby by far one of the most enjoyable couples they had ever had to dinner. To see the pair together at last, nothing short of delightful in every sense. Abigail, for her part, was nothing short of ravishing within that evening gown. Arlo still somewhat struggling within his suit and yet Dorian had simply come to understand that the other vampire was something of an obscurity in every sense. One who, somehow, suited Sebastian entirely as a friend and Abigail as a boyfriend. Even if he might never understand quite how. The Fae King turning to examine that very ice sculpture Arlo seemed assured was wrong. His efforts to correct the man however were cut short by Abigail herself. Another soft chuckle rising from within him then.

"Thank you. I am quite pleased to see someone appreciates such sculptures. You look lovely Abigail. Thank you for coming. Tell me, did you find time to walk through the gardens yet, you really must, several of the flowers here came from the English section of them...."

Abigail so eternally seemed to have an interest in those plants in much the same fashion he did. Dorian content to ask after them as Arlo spoke with Sebastian for those few moments before the other vampire returned to the stage to continue with that music he had done a rather good job of providing so far. Dorian readily turning his attention toward Dareios and Miya then, his hand lifting to return that wave and lift off his glass Dareios offered as the vampiric Mayor of the city they called home made his way toward them with that young woman in tow. To see Dareios with a woman was entirely surprising! Dorian so recalling the vampires own assurance he was not seeing anyone of significance when they had spoken of those relationships. Had such a thing changed? Dorian easily moved to return that good natured gesture, his hand lifting to rest on Dareios' shoulder as the man clapped his own before turning to shake Sebastian's hand. That grin he held for the mayor turned readily to the young woman beside him.

"It is a pleasure Miya, you look exceptional, as do you Dareios.Thank you both for coming. Sebastian, this is Dareios, the mayor of our city and the man who gifted us that rather glorious antique chest. He helped arrange for some of those pieces I had from Leonardo to be displayed in the local museum too."

Dorian had been quite pleased to show his husband that very chest the night they had received it, such a piece by far one of Dorian's favoured. The Monarch delighting in those antique pieces. The Fae in turn having been equally pleased to loan the Sacrosanct museum those pieces from Leonardo he had kept all those years. Dareios having brokered those very negotiations. The vampire a decidedly good friend to have, of that he was assured. His attention shifted readily then to another vampire, a woman he was assured he had not met before. This most assuredly one of Sebastian's guests. The red-haired Isolt positively a picture as she glided forward to embrace Sebastian before turning to Dorian himself. The Monarch's head dipped politely.

"Isolt. It is a pleasure to finally meet you and congratulations too on your own engagement. I should very much like to get to know you better some time. Thank you, for travelling all this way for our wedding. I hope you will enjoy Italy while you are here."

Those words were entirely genuine, that ready smile remaining upon his lips as his attention shifted to the man Isolt introduced as her fiance. Damon. Dorian's own hand extending to take the man's own then, affording it that singular shake. That near sharp look toward Sebastian however was hardly missed, whatever words the Monarch had been about to offer momentarily cut short but that singular utterance of Sebastian's name. Surprise readily finding his features then. Yet, was this not the man Sebastian had mentioned was somewhat of a...well...such a word so hardly had a place within his thoughts here and now. Sebastian, it seemed, had perhaps been entirely correct in his assumption of this man's nature. He did seem a little...sharp. Damons assurance that it was a pleasure to meet him met with that simple reply in turn.

"Quite."

One eye merely arched upward in that subtle assurance he had not at all missed that curtness offered to his husband, Dorian meeting Damon's gaze easily then with that very gesture. Such a look rather....pointed for the Fae King and yet- Sebastian was his husband and the very Prince of the country they stood within. Damon a rather unusual sort of character in his own opinion, one whom seemed oddly suited to the graceful woman beside him whom appeared nothing short of demure. A curious couple indeed.
