Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
He would have much rather stayed home in Sacrosanct to continue to pamper Isolt and see to all her needs without the eyes of others but he couldn't deny her absolute determination to go see Dorian and Sebastian in wedlock. He knew in the end it would do no good to argue and it would probably break her heart so he allowed her this, but of course only if he could go with to assure she was never completely alone. He knew she was still prone to break downs as was her right but he never wanted her to feel helpless or alone again. It broke him to see her like that. He didn't even know where he found the strength to save her since he hadn't eaten in weeks, not since she was kidnapped. He was practically mummifying and then he'd gone and spent all that energy using his powers to kill those witches and warlocks and by the time he got her back and settled, he'd collapsed alongside her and felt like he could sleep for months. But he needed to be there for her, and so he was. He put her first in everything, making sure she never went without and giving her space when she asked for it but he was never far. He couldn't bring himself to go much further than a room away at any one time. She was too precious to him...and he'd almost lost her. He couldn't bear the thought. And yet here they were in Italy of all places now. He'd gotten them a private suite, even trying to rent the whole floor out so they wouldn't be disturbed but the hotels were filling up quickly and the staff said they couldn't cancel the reservations so he reluctantly let it go. He rode in that elevator with her head pressed against his chest and felt relaxed for probably the first time since they'd gotten in the car to go to the airport. She had that simple way of relaxing him, just by him knowing she was with him and safe. Even though she didn't have a heartbeat or breaths to take, just feeling her skin against his was enough to soothe his aching heart. He never thought he could love someone as much as he did for her. And he knew he never could again. He stroked her hair gently, his chin resting on her head until the bell dinged and the doors opened to their floor. They went to the room and he watched as she let her firey curls down, the ache to run his fingers through it only natural as she walked to the balcony. Slowly he followed, though he stopped in the doorway that went out into the night air to admire the view for a moment. She stood out, a perfect silhouette in the city lights. He could watch this forever. Her gaze looked distant as she stood there with her delicate hands perched on the railing. She had gotten a lot of her color back after the kidnapping but he could still see the shadows behind those eyes sometimes, the haunted memories that still choked her. He wished he could take it all away. He knew he could, but he would never use that power on her unless she asked him to. He couldn't force it on her. Anyone else, he might have said it was for their own good and done it anyway, but somehow he was sure she'd find out and never forgive him for violating her memories like that, even the wretched ones. He watched for a change in her gaze and when none came, he finally decided it was time to step in and once again remind her that she was no longer there in that place, no longer alone. He stepped up slowly behind her, letting his hands trail softly up her arms. He leaned down, planting gentle kisses on her shoulder before he nuzzled the hair behind her ear with his nose. She slowly turned to him, an impossibly gorgeous expression on her face as she looked up at him. He smiled, leaning in to kiss her forehead before he rubbed his nose across hers in an eskimo kiss. "Well, that ceremony was.....interesting." He murmured, his eyes twinkling playfully as his lips tugged into a smirk. "What's on that tantalizing mind of yours?" He searched her expression as if it held all the answers. |
