Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
His Royal Majesty
Dorian Ellington-Aragona
The King of Italy
There was something so undeniably sweet in the manner in which Sebastian hovered about him in those moments in which he dressed. Dorian, perhaps, decidedly more aware off his husbands behaviour then the vampire himself truly was and yet the Monarch could hardly deny how very endearing it was to prompt such care from the very man he adored the most in all the world in turn. He so struggled to keep that very amusement from his lips as he so informed Sebastian of the fashion in which he was decidedly aware off his hovering only to be rewarded with a near boyish pout and the very insistence that he was not. Such blatant denial prompted that soft chuckle to his own lips once more as his husband set about dressing with a renewed determination. Dorian quite unable to coax that simper from his own lips as he finished straightening his own tie. That very worry for his health was perhaps one of Sebastian's more persistent worries in life. Dorian's own immortal status, it seemed, unable to convince Sebastian entirely of his continued good health and yet Dorian had long since come to find such a trait decidedly endearing and decidedly 'Sebastian' in turn. It was quite simply who he was and just one of the decided traits that had so seen him fall in love with the man those years ago.
Dorian stepped easily from that splendid wardrobe only once he deemed himself properly attired. The dull ache off his head prompting that faintest of frowns to his features once more and yet he was quite assured such a thing was of his own making. Next time he would be assured to plan any night of 'partying' with considerably more afterthought to any need to travel the next day. The Fae King afforded that now empty bed a decidedly longing look in those moments in which he situated himself against the edge of it to reach for that phone and inquire about finding a meal for Sebastian. After all, it would hardly do to have his lover suffer the entirety of that flight, Dorian quite unable to bear the idea that the vampire might be uncomfortable in any sense. The hotel, it seemed, was used to such requests. In the very least that reception desk so assured him they had several members of staff whom had provided those needed services to vampires and indeed held no issue in doing so again. That phone had no sooner been replaced then the sound of Sebastian stepping from that wardrobe in turn saw the Monarch rise to close that distance between them, that glorious scent of cologne prompting the press off his lips with a clear affection to his husbands cheek. How he adored that scent! How much it reminded him of their first night together. That uttered assurance that he had taken care of finding his husband a meal readily seemed to encourage that near dramatic sigh from the vampire at the lack of flavour those human meals might provided. A ready laughter easily falling from Dorian's own lips in turn, that roll off his eyes holding little save for good humour before the pair so finally made their way downstairs to attend to that bill and waiting car. Sebastian insisting he would hardly be long.
"I'll be waiting for you."
He offered softly, that warm simper so finding his lips once more as the pair parted ways. Dorian easily striding down that hall to step out and onto the street before sliding into that waiting town car. His ipad was easily fished from within his carry-on luggage. The Monarch so having near mastered the use of that singular device. Laptops and desktop computers remaining decidedly more difficult. The Fae King more often than not so forced to summon Sebastian to help him escape from whatever page he had so arrived at upon the internet else to help him summon those documents from wherever that computer had taken them too. Computers, he was sure, were disobedient things and of the temperamental sort. Dorian wholly content to distract himself from that wait with several of those work calls and indeed, that pressing matter of sorting out his own lineage- in a sense. That very call from Emma readily engaged his attention then, the Monarch decidedly pleased to hear of those progressions and that it seemed after so many years he might yet have the name off his real Father attached to him. That very declaration too- so finally allowed Matteo to name him his son in the eyes of the public and the law. The idea of that alone decidedly...meaningful. It was that veritable slip of his assistants tongue however that seemed to intrigue his attention then. The very idea that he alone might be one of three benefisheris to Matteo's will was wholly surprising! Dorian never truly having considered such ideas before. How baffling they were. Whom else did Matteo find himself decidedly close enough too for such provisions to be made? Alexander surely and yet who was the other?
Such thoughts hardly progressed any further, Sebastian so arriving at the car in that same moment as Dorian slid further over to make room for his husband. That touch of bright blue to his lovers gaze and too that simple life that flushed his skin and radiated from his very form was all but glorious. Dorian quite unable to prevent that simper that found his lips at the sheer sight of Sebastian alone, his free hand sliding across that leather interior to tangle his fingers with the vampires own, Sebastian's arm reaching out in that same moment to gently tug him against him. Dorian more then content to lean into his lovers side. That singular place, so nestled against his husband by far his most favoured place in all the world. His fingers tapped near idly against that ipad cover, that conversation that had only moments ago occurred content to play upon his mind. Dorian inclined to tilt his head just so as to meet Sebastian's gaze then and offer him that very tale- right along with that puzzling question of just who the third person was. Sebastian so insisting he was surprised Matteo had chosen only three in all that time. Perhaps the vampire was right. Two thousand years of life with the very world to explore and he had chosen but three. Himself, surely Alexander- and another. That very depth of thought prompting that clear look of consideration to his features.
"Perhaps you are right, perhaps it is unusual that in all the world and all the time he has lived there are but three and yet he speaks so little off his affairs. I suppose it is his right really and yet to be so important to him as to be listed I am surprised I have not met this third person. Then again, perhaps I have and I simply never knew."
That frown upon his features deepend but slightly. Matteo was so decidedly secretive! Yet surely such a person would not be an Aunt or Uncle or some other relative Matteo had neglected to inform him off? Dorian's own head shook slightly to dismiss such thoughts. The Monarch instead content to query how very....illegal it might be to read a Will without the express permission of that person. His gaze turned near inquiringly to his lover then. Dorian long since having come to believe Sebastian held knowledge of all legal matters regardless as to whether or not they were within the field the vampire had studied. He had known, perhaps, just what that answer would be before Sebastian provided it. Dorian content to offer that near dramatic sigh as he lent further into his companions side, a near boyish pout upon his features.
"Frankly I don't know why I am King if I cannot be allowed to see paperwork others are not."
He hardly meant such words, not truly, his very tone laced with amusement as such a suggestion as that soft chuckle hummed within his throat, his gaze turned upward once more as the Monarch so shifted within his seat to better face his husband. That near impish grin returned to his features before his head gave a single, firm nod.
"Perhaps I shall ask after it, although by now he quite probably knows I intend to ask for it already and will likely not allow me to see it if only because it amuses him not too. Do you know though, you sound terribly intriguing when you say 'attorney-client privileges'? I think I should not mind at all if you decided you might like to be a lawyer again if only so I might hear more of these words. Your terribly sexy when you say them...."
He so hardly saw any need to afford Sebastian a chance to answer that very suggestion. Dorian leaning forward to press his lips to the vampires own in kiss hardly chaste in any sense. That very desire that had been so stoked within the bedroom enterally willing to respond to even the faint touches of those words the Monarch so often enjoyed hearing Sebastian speak off- even if he himself hardly knew what they might mean. How utterly splendid Sebastian tasted! How warm his lips felt. The Fae King so at last breaking that kiss to lean gently away from him.
"....I just thought you should know."
That warm grin found his lips once more, the Monarch settling against his lover once more in a fashion he hardly found satisfying and yet one that was, reluctantly, perhaps demanded of them with that driver so lingering in the front seat. Dorian once more reached for that ipad then, that promise to show Sebastian that 'fancy' legal document from Matteo's lawyers seeing the Fae bring up that photograph then before offering him the screen.
"This was the letter Matteo's legal team sent to my own, an outline explaining several manners of French law and yet have you ever seen any so, well, opulent for a legal letter?"
The very letter in question was printed upon that stark white paper, the letters typed out in that standard black and yet it was the decoration that surrounded it that was perhaps the most striking. That unicorn, Matteo's own personal sigil, that pranced at the top of the page was whiter than the paper itself, its hooves and mane and tail trimmed in gold and surrounded by a crest adorned in coloured flowers and vines that framed the eternity of those typed words. The equally golden flowers that sprung from those surrounding vines lasted only half the page before they reshaped themselves to a pair of crossed, golden swords. Dorian quite assured he had never seen anything so decidedly expensive for a mere letter such as this. Although perhaps that sheer flamboyance of wealth so prevented anyone suing the French Fae to begin with? Those very signs for the airport had already begun to appear, that car following those signs towards that private tarmac and jet that awaited them. Dorian still displeased at the idea of flying. His features prompted to frown ever so slightly as that car came to a stop and the driver so hurried from the car to open that door for them. Dorian following his husband out before fitting his hand with the vampires own once more as they headed for that plane.
"I don't know why we bothered with our hair tonight, mine has already be blown in ten directions, heavens it's all askew."
Such words were near muttered to himself, Dorian struggling in vain to right his own dark locks as they mounted those stairs, the plane crew bowing to them as they passed. Those greetings of 'Your Majesty' and 'Your Highness' following in their wake as dorian nodded that greeting to each in turn before all but tumbling into that plush leather seat. The air hostess appearing near instantly. Would his Majesty or his Highness like something to drink, we have a vast selection of wines. Those words were no sooner free from her lips then Dorian moved to wave them away with his apologies.
"Bastian? I don't look hungover do I?"
That very question seemed suddenly of decided importance. His silver gaze lingering on his lover then, Dorian so suddenly requiring that assurance that he surely did not look as he perhaps felt. The Monarch content to settle only when he was assured his appearance was suitable. His figure reclining back within his chair only for Dorian to shift downward in that seat and, in a moment of decided un-royalness- rest his head within Sebastian's lap. That, he was sure, by far the safest, most comfortable place in all the world
"I am not sleeping, I am just....resting my eyes...."
