Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

we all fall down like toy soldiers

You would think that for those who were as supposedly as smart as they were that the microwave wouldn't hold so much fascination for us. But it had and there had been no shortage to the items that got placed behind the door. It started off with food, little things at first grapes and small fruit, then morphed into those little marshmallows shaped like bunnies. I swear those had always been my favorite to blow up. We'd gone from food to everyday household items, the fork clearly being the winner in that race. I'd never been allowed to live it down and clearly I still haven't.

The fact that I was standing in the kitchen in nothing but boxers frowning over a take out menu wasn't lost on me. It was something that would generally always happen during weekends, but this had been the first time I'd blown up the kitchen and given Church his dessert for the next year of his life. Ah well, he'll live. As I was in the midst of ordering the pizza I saw Dav out of the corner of my eye come at me with a sponge. At first, I'd given him a weird look as if to ask what he was doing but in the end that rough papery edge had made contact with my face and I had to wonder where else I'd gotten the batter.

There had been a moment when I was younger that the teachers had tried to...reform me. It had been early on in the days when we first started going to school that instead of paying attention I'd begun drawing in the notebook in front of me. One of those teachers had seized upon that opportunity and had given me a chance to join an art class later on in the day. I'd willingly gone alone if only to see what the hype was about, at first they'd tried to tell me what I could and couldn't do but after a time they just left me to my own devices in the corner with pencils and sketchbook and let me do my thing. It had been that thing that had caused me to keep what I did to myself, the fact that I hadn't wanted my siblings to think of it as uncool was always forefront in my mind.

That's what led me to opening up now and showing Dav what it was that I could do. I didn't want secrets and I could see it in his eyes that he was hurt over the fact I never told him and I really should have, I knew he wouldn't have judged me, but I'd been in a rough place at the time and in my mind anything was possible. There is this moment of elation at the look in his eyes though, pride and acceptance but the moment was lost on us that the moment the knock sounded on the door.

This causes me to glance at the clock and tap it to see if it was working. Hadn't I literally just called? Were they that slow that it was almost instant? Confusion cause my brows to turn down, causing furrows across my face, "Too fast..." I supplied, while I knew that my brother had enemies, I really didn't think any of them would show up on a Sunday morning, much less knocking on the door. As Dav moved to answer the door, I moved in on his other side and what we were greeted with was definitely not pizza.

"We should order Dominoes more if the pizza is preceded by pretty ladies with cookies..." I offered, stepping back out of the way to allow the woman to enter, "So...you don't have our pizza? Orâ€"?"
