Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

and yet you can still use it, how odd. dramatic much?

Residences

She would have hated herself if she managed to wake anyone in her clumsiness up the stairs. They both went quiet and she was already working up a big apology for Frost but luckily nothing stirred and with his subtle nod, she continued up the stairs, glad she didn't have to swallow her pride and actually apologize. She easily found the arrow and returned downstairs after studying both of them, handing them to Frost as she pointed out the differences and the similarities in both. Frost pointed out that the marks she was talking about looked like Maker's marks and both seemed to be made by the same person. Malia's eyes widened in surprise and excitement. So she had found something useful! Go her! Frost pointed out that they could be standard for hunters but then, they might not. She was hoping for the latter.

She was eager for what he might find out, knowing he was going to show it to his Hunter buddies. They probably had more reseources and stuff so they could find out quicker, right? She followed him out onto the porch, though she paused when he brought up a ride. He really wanted her to ride on his back? He confirmed that was exactly what he was asking, even as he started to undress. The idea of nudity didn't bother Malia at all as she shewed her bottom lip, still struggling whether she should take him up on the offer or not. As he shifted, she took a step back from the large white horse that now stood before her. He was HUGE. Her brow lifted. How the heck was she supposed to get on? A ladder? Then he told her to go ahead and she took a deep breath before stepping closer.

He aligned himself beside the porch, waiting patiently as she reached out and slowly curled her fingers in his mane to help pull herself up. Her other hand rested on his back. She tested it, slowly leaning some of her weight on her hands as if he was a wild mustang that might bolt at any moment. When he stood still, she sighed again. "This is much easier said than done, you know." Finally, she gathered up her courage and pushed forward, her stomach laying over his back as she let out an "omph." Her legs struggled to push her up further, her fingers further curling in his mane as she pulled herself forward on his back over his withers and slowly but surely dragged one of her legs over to the other side. Finally and very slowly, she pushed herself into an upright position, breathing a little more heavily as she looked around to gather her bearings. "Whew....I did it."

She felt proud of herself, despite her new wariness now. She was no longer in control of where she went. That truly all depended on Frost from this point. It was a definite test in trust. When he stepped forward, she gasped, unsure of the new awareness of his muscles moving beneath her legs. It was like she could feel EVERYTHING. She listened as he spoke to her, telling her to grip with her knees. She tightened her knees in response, instantly feeling a little more secure. He told her to sit straight so she pushed her spine as ramrod straight as she could, her fingers tightening around his hair as he told her to wrap her fingers in his mane. She smirked. "No worries there. I'm not letting go unless my fingers fall off." He brought up going faster and she gulped. Faster? But she was tottering at a walk! She breathed out through her nose, trying to steady herself and calm herself, reminding herself that they both walked on four legs and she should just move with him.

He told her trotting was uncomfortable and she grimaced. "Then let's definitely not do that, please." She was well aware that he was in control of the speed they went so she added on the last word almost as a plead not to throw her. He told her she should find cantering easier, just back and forth. She tilted her head. "Like a ship? Or like a cradle rocking a baby?" Not that she'd ever been on a ship before but she watched enough tv. She also saw a lot of people on tv get sick from all that rocking. Would she get sick from riding? This was all definitely a new experience. Even as he spoke, she felt his muscles bunch up and his legs reach out, his pace picking up. Gasping as she teetered, she put a new death grip on his mane and leaned more over his withers, her knees squeezing harder to make sure she stayed on. She felt a smile pulling across her lips though as she started to get used to the rhythm. She was riding! Maybe she'd have to try this again, but maybe on another horse. The idea of riding her alpha....well, it still felt weird to think of, much less to say. She probably wouldn't tell anyone. They might get the wrong idea.

She glanced down, noticing all the ground they were covering. His one stride probably made up about ten of hers. It was a new kind of power to watch those trees fly by. This was different than being in a car. It had to be. You couldn't feel the experience quite so much with all the metal and glass blocking you. This was the real thing to her, much more her speed. She started laughing a little bit, fully caught up in the experience. She closed her eyes, listening to the wind whistling through her hair. It was almost magical. But then her nose twitched as she caught on a scent and her eyes snapped open, back serious again. A hunter. She could smell him, though whether the scent was old from when he was here with Frost or recent, she wasn't sure yet. She leaned forward toward Frost's neck. "You smell that?" She whispered to him, wondering if it was the same Hunter he'd had contact with.
