Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

I'm about to make my own way, heaven help me keep my faith

The sable haired witch is entirely unaware of how he may be feeling in this moment. Her brain so disoriented from the smoke she is lucky she is able to tell her right from her left. He holds her so easily, she would never be able to guess that he didn't have a girlfriend that he held too in such a way. She is comforted as that sable hair hangs down, so unaware of what she does to him. If she had been aware, no doubt Kathryn would have moved away, given him his space, but her brain is so muddy with smoke, she hardly is aware of where she even is and what had just happened.

He helps her to stand she attempts to cough out a thank you, but it manages to be more coughing than actual words unfortunately. She feels unsteady and wobbly on her feet, her head feel like it is spinning even when she knows she is standing still. She generously accepts his help, holding onto his arm and leaning into his touch graciously. They lock eyes for a moment and Kathryn smiles, a simper of a thing, but there all the same as those icy blue eyes find his own. The man looks away and immediately Kathryn think perhaps she had done something wrong, turning her own blue eyed gaze from him. "Sorry," she mumbles, barely audible.

She waves away the stretcher, she was not some weak little girl that needed all these men to look after her. He fusses over her and Kathryn fixes him with a glacial stare, starting perhaps to feel like her old self it would seem, slowly but surely. "Fine," she says, taking the mask and with shaky hands placing it over her head and around her mouth and she has to admit, the fresh air hitting her lungs feels amazing, and her head starts to clear as her lungs take in more air, fresh air, as her body tries to rid itself of the smoke.

They walk beside each other, Kathryn thinking nothing of it than she would if she were walking beside Damon. Actually, Ashton was MUCH better company than the bloodthirsty vampire, but still, she simply walks, her hand resting on his own, comforted still, even as her head begins to clear, by having him near her. She lets go only when she reaches the ambulance, content to now rest, unaware of just how tired her legs truly felt until she was finally off of them. She pulls the mask away from her, finally feeling as though she can breathe again without coughing. But those glacial blues turn to him, wondering about his answer. The action he performed was so brace and Kathryn can hardly comprehend it. Sure, either of her grandparents if here would have rushed in to save her, but he was a stranger. They had never known each other until now.

The hug is brief, and she pulls away, letting her hand brush against his shoulder before falling back into her lap. "Thank you," she says in response to his words. "I will have to find some way to pay it out, I doubt there are many burning buildings around here," she jests with a smile, that old Kathryn humor steadily creeping back within her. His next question though catches her off guard and at first Kathryn feels panic set into her, before a humorous smile replaces it. Kat was not entirely sure how far this whole mentor situation could really stretch. "I think I do actually," she says, those glacial blues shining with something of a secret that the witch could not share with a stranger. "Can I at least buy you lunch some time? Maybe some time when I am not so smokey?" She says, knowing how guilty she would feel without doing something in return. "Please? I wont be able to rest without doing something kind for you."
