Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Henry heard the wave of words and emotion that left Sterling's lips. It cut through him like a sharp knife through paper. He knew that Sterling didn't want to hear his side of what happened, but he had to try. "That's not fair, Sterling. The paramedics wouldn't let me on the ambulance." What he didn't say was that he really didn't want to be there anyway. He already felt as though he had killed his boyfriend in that moment. The amount of blood that was spewed all over the walls and floor was more than any one person could survive. If only he knew just how much he had beat himself up over it.

And then he was throwing Malia's name out as if it had happened right away. Henry looked up at him, hurt by the words his boyfriend was saying. "Sterling, it wasn't like that. Malia didn't happen for months. How could you possibly think I'd so quickly jump in bed with someone else after I thought I had killed you? Sterling, I was depressed, an absolute wreck. I was at the lowest of the lows." But he knew Sterling didn't want to hear about the depression that he had gone through. He didn't want to hear anything other than what he perceived.

But perhaps what was most hurtful was the way Sterling used the gift of removing the scars as something of convenience. He sighed. "I came back well before I erased those scars. I just wanted us to have a fresh start - away from the bad memories and mistakes, that's all." But again, Sterling didn't want to hear his reasons. He would believe what he wanted. "I did check - every hospital. I didn't come back here because I just couldn't. I had so much guilt that I couldn't come back here and relive that pain. I swear if I had known you were alive, I would have been back sooner."

But just when he thought the worst of Sterling's insults were over, they just kept coming. Eyes looked up softly at Sterling. "That's not fair, Sterling. You are more than enough. I love you with every ounce of my being. I truly thought you had died. But when I learned you were alive, I was back and I never left again. You've always been enough for me." But Sterling didn't care. He was ordering Henry to leave and as much as Henry wanted to stay, he knew it would be pointless. He sighed as he slipped out of the bed and began to put his clothes back on. "I'm going to give you a couple of days to calm down and then I want to really talk to you. You've misunderstood all of my intentions and I just want to make things right...that's all I've ever wanted to do." And when he was dressed, he took another look back at Sterling before he showed himself out of the apartment.
