Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
I can see the flickers of doubt in his eyes as he searches my face. Meanwhile I snatch his shirt and throw it on over my head, effectively covering my top half at least while I pull my pants up. He looks like he's waiting on me to run. When he seems to decide that I'm not going to do that, he pulls me close and I give in, pressing my lips back to his in an answering kiss that almost has me begging for more again. He seems surprised again when I admit that I don't regret it. As I gesture toward his ruined car though, the look in my eyes is amused really that he thinks we can go anywhere in that. He follows my gesture and seems to get the hint, a single "Oh" falling from his lips as he surveys the damage. He frowns and I know he must be grieving over his car but I don't see what the big deal is. It's not like he can't buy another one. As the rain continues to pour down, soaking us both, he grins at me in a dopey way as if finding everything ironic and I tilt my head, raising a brow at him in puzzlement. When he says he has a plan however, it's my turn to scowl, watching as he turns to the car wash attendent he just pointed out. Oh boy, this should be good. I almost laugh at the sight as he walks away having to hold his jeans up the whole time. not very graceful even for him but at least I get to see the good view. The attendent turns to stare at him and just from his look, I'm sure he saw what happened. Rose blossoms in my cheeks at the thought. Kohl calls him by name and for just a second or so, I'm puzzled as to how he knew that but then I glance at the guy's shirt and I roll my eyes. Obvious, of course. I watch with growing interest as Kohl fumbles around in his pocket before asking the guy if he can buy his umbrella. I smirk. AS the guy turns his back to Kohl, I watch him lean over and press something on the computer screen. Even more intrigued now, I cross my arms and lean against the wall, forgetting the awkwardness of the situation only moments ago. They exchange hands as the guy turns back, offering Kohl an umbrella and taking the cash he hands him. It only looks like a dollar but then I can't see the numbers from here so I just shrug it off. Hopefully he didn't pay a lot. He nods at the man then and turns back to me. My smirk widens. I take the umbrella he offers me, opening it above both our heads as he says that we're walking. I can't help but laugh as he mentions how difficult it will be to hold his pants up the whole time. "Maybe you should invest in jeans that don't button." I answer back snarkily as we walk. When he frowns, I raise a brow again in concern and when he asks what the average price of an umbrella is, my eyes widen. What exactly did he pay the guy to look so concerned? I shrug lightly. "I don't know, five bucks maybe? Why?" Now I'm just really curious what he gave the guy. It'll probably give me another laugh. |
