Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
we built this city on broken glass
Frost could hardly say he was displeased with Scarlett's assistance towards his cause. The young woman insisting she had experience in raising animals and more so, the responsibility would surely be good for the children. Whether or not Scarlett had truly intended to aid his cause he hardly knew and yet in the wake of their somewhat combined effort Nadya readily seemed to crumble all the same with only the insistence that helmets were to be worn at all times. Frost content to offer that subtle nod and yet that smug look lingered upon his features all the same as he basked in the glow off his victory. Then again, he had already bought the pony, Nadya had very much had those odds agianst her from the beginning. A llama, however, was one animal he was not willing to tolerate even despite Scarlett's apparent efforts to befriend the grass-munching fiend. Those decidedly cool lyrics parting his lips then in that ready insistence he would not permit them to keep that creature. Nadya, this time, seeming inclined to agree with him as Scarlett commented upon the creatures lack of eating those flowers. Those very words sounding far to....knowing. Frost's gaze cut sharply toward his subordinate then. Scarlett afforded a truly pointed look in that moment. One designed to encourage her silence upon the matter as Nadya declared she would, this year, capture the culprit that had eluded her several years in a row now. Frost having no true desire to cease his snacking on those plants. Really, it was hardly doing any harm to Nadya, was it? Besides, he had gone on eating them for so very long now, watched her struggle for years over those plants that.....she was probably going to be rather angry at him. Hmmm. It was easier to just not tell her he was sure.
Frost's own attention shifted toward Malia then. The young woman having at last made it to the back door even despite her clear disdain for what appeared to be occurring around her. Frost not uninclined to understood how she felt. The stallion wandering away from his pack mates then to carry himself to Malia's side. That very problem of an irritating guest one he knew well, Frost querying after just which man seemed to insist upon talking to her as Malia gestured towards the offending fellow who stood across the lawn with a plate of candy. How much was this party costing him? Maybe it was better not to ask. Frost scowling lighty at the thought all the same. Malia's insistence that the man with the candy was too proud of his children prompting that faint simper to amusement to his lips. Her assurance that Isabella could destroy the other child only furthering that amusement. Nadya however, he suspected, would be far less inclined to put the children agianst one another in an all out brawl. How unfortunate.
"Some parents are blind when it comes to their child."
He offered simply. Malia, after all, was entirely right. Some parents were to proud. Frost rarely inclined to offer praise in any sense, either to the children or the pack themselves. When that praise did come it was, he was assured, all the more valued then those foolish parents whom seemed to celebrate mediocrity along with ever minor achievement their child had. Frost's very suggestion of taking back that table he had previously occupied however readily seemed to prompt that agreement within Malia. If his presence could repel the man then her presence might surely assist in keeping that single woman away from him in turn. Malia's demand for some of those spoils resulting in that nod of agreement before Frost led the way toward that table he planned to reclaim with Malia beside him. Nadya's comment as she passed hardly missed. Frost frowning slightly at the accusation that he was leading Malia into 'shenanigans'.
"It's a reconnaissance mission."
He offered by way of explanation to his girlfriend before gesturing Malia follow once more. It was hardly a difficult thing to allow his affinity for temperature to reach out to that woman by the table. Frost rapidly beginning to cool her. After all, chances were that if she felt cold she might be inclined to move away from that shaded table and find a far sunnier spot. Relinquishing that favoured place to Malia and himself. Frost hardly having to wait long before the woman shivered and crossed back towards the house in search of her coat. Good. That table was finally free once more. The vast majority of those sweets still uneaten. The sound shouts of 'cake' that readily begun to echo around the yard prompted his own attention backward once more. Those children all but swarming Nadya then as Frost watched from the safety of his own table. The stallion moving to sit upon the edge of it. His hand reached for that bowl of chocolate pieces before offering them to Malia in turn. One other Father began to head their way as if he hoped the pair might provide a veritable island in that sea of children. That very glare that found Frost's features seeing the other man hesitate before heading in a different direction. Even humans, it seemed, were capable of responding to that Alpha-call when commanded of them.
"If anyone starts heading this way make it look as if we are too busy to talk to them."
He offered softly to Malia then. Frost assured the woman could manage that in the very least. Frost unwilling to relinquish his table or candy again. His gaze watching those children squabble for cake now. Frost taking another handful of that candy.
"Do you have siblings, Malia? I had...rather a lot of them. I don't missing having to share."
