Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
malek.
Her soft spoken words have a wry smile continuing to stretch at the corner of his mouth, Malek quite enjoying their turn of conversation. He can't help but allow his gun metal gaze linger on her blush lined cheeks, the woman seemingly mortified by his questioning and yet, Malek hardly took any pity on her. Instead, he was rather enjoying himself, watching the way she continued to squirm. Her soft spoken words caress his ears and he grins broadly at her, his chin dipping into his chest with a nod, though he's momentarily distracted by the non-existence of his beard. Regaining control of his attention, "Yes, yes it was unforgettable," he laughs quietly before providing the girl with a wink. Truly, it was far too easy to tease her, Malek beginning to feel more and more like himself by the minute as he continues to remain in the Chizue's presence. Still, he was a gentleman and he could hardly keep the apology bottled up, so he does just opposite of that, the girl's features becoming rather confused in that moment.
Giving a slight shrug, he explains and she merely waves him off, as if his apology wasn't warranted. Still, he's altogether distracted by the small smile that hints at her lips, Malek determining he just might need to make her smile more frequently rather than making her blush. "I can't say I agree with you, my dear," he pauses, his fingers idly drumming on the couch as he looks over at her, "Although, I'm pleased you think I am," he chuckles, his fingers itching to caress the soft skin of her cheek. And perhaps he would have if that flash of recent events didn't come bubbling forth. Curling his fingers into a fist and his heart rate picking up were the only tell tale signs he were battling an episode. He was certain he would have nightmares for weeks. Though, he was hardly ready to talk about it, he was still taking comfort in being here.
Changing the subject to her affinity, it distracts him enough to ignore the overwhelming sensation of fear, his very heart rate returning to normal and hands unclenching from his first. Her explanation has him pausing, a baffled look so crossing his gestures as Malek blinks at her in surprise. "I can't say I've ever heard of a psychic vampire, I tend to be well versed in the realm of magic and yet, you are new to me," he tilts his head, regarding her briefly as if he could see directly into her soul. Softening his intense stare, it takes him a long moment to realize that she could see his emotions, that very fear that coated him, the guilt and the terror... it made him feel uncomfortable. It was the first time he had felt such things in decades!
Brows furrowing, a frown draws at the corner of his mouth, "So, that night at the bar, you fed from someone who was drunk?" He asks, his grey eyes traveling back to her face, another small smile gracing her features which has the man softening more. "Chizue... could you see what I was feeling when I walked through your door?" He asks after a moment, his words almost hesitant. Of course, the man had been feeling an array of things the moment he showed up, and yet, he was struggling so desperately to stifle that demon inside him! Malek was... worried she had seen that pleasure and desire that so wreaked havoc on his monster's side the moment he had arrived, the vampire having not been at all in control of himself. Though the two had only met a handful of times, Malek found himself caring what Chizue thought of him, the man worried he could scare her away! Struggling with his emotions for a moment, he finally manages to bring a slight, crooked grin to his features as he reaches out and grasps a strand of her hair, rubbing it between two fingers.
"You have done so much for me," he murmurs quietly, "thank you," he states his voice carrying such a note of sincerity. "I would take my leave now but I fear the sun is about to rise. Would you approve of me sleeping on your couch tonight? I promise not to come sneaking into your room," he teases lightly, though he would do just that if she asked.
