Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
When he asked if he could eat all the cakes even after they had decided on a flavor, she simply playfully rolled her eyes. He would be the one who would want to eat all the cakes. "Yes, they are ours to have." She knew that would make him at least a little bit happier that he was going through this torture. He could eat all the ones he wanted and they would simply toss the cakes that he didn't care for, like coconut for instance.
She asked him playfully what cakes he would be interesting in trying, and his suggestion of an ice cream cake, she looked at him with a playful roll of his eyes. "Those don't make good display cakes. Plus..." She paused as she looked at all the other cakes on display that he had deemed unworthy for their wedding. "...picking a flavor of ice cream AND cake could prove equally as challenging." But she smiled at him in jest, letting him know that she appreciated his suggestion, but it wasn't feasible at this time.
It was then that she took out slices for the pink champagne cake. She laughed lightly as he asked if it tasted like cotton candy. "No, but it tastes like heaven. Just give it a chance." Despite it being pink, it tasted so good. It was one of those cakes that she could eat all day every day.
After handing him the plate and allowing him to take a bite, she smiled with pleasure as she watched the way his expression changed. She could tell that he liked this one, even if it was pink. And when he finally claimed that it was good, she leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss to his cheek. "See? Don't knock it before you try it." She finished off her slice of cake before she placed the plate down on the table. She was already beginning to compile the plates for the ease of the staff when he asked if he said yes to the pink cake, could he have his reward. She flashed him a sultry gaze. "Yes, you can." But Amelia would not give him what he wanted so easily.
She took her hand in his, assuming that he would say yes to this cake. She walked him towards her study, a place she didn't often take him. He might have assumed she would give him his reward in the bedroom, but he had another thing coming.
Pushing open the door to her study, it revealed a set up very similar to the cakes. It was filled with fabric colors of all shades. It probably looked rather overwhelming to him, but it was what she was banking on. She honestly didn't expect him to pick their wedding colors, but it was fun to tease him. "Your reward is that you get to pick one of the wedding colors!" She said it with a smile as she turned towards him, knowing that his look would be anything but happiness.
