Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Andras had far and few in between conversations with Matteo, this particular meeting having started off as rather aggressive and yet, the man was entirely pleased with the overall outcome. It was rare to be able to speak with someone who was as old, the strange faerie man even older, as him. They could reminisce the past, the two of them having been in such history themselves. It could be a difficult job, being the oldest faerie in Somnia to rule with no advice and yet, he truly wish he could employ Matteo, the man by far the oddest faerie he had ever met and yet, there was wisdom in his twisted words if you were smart enough to find them. It is then that Matteo responds in kind, Andras merely offering him a shrug as he eyes the amber liquid, "I understand their fear, I truly do but the only way to make any headway is to take a chance. I believe we are still a long way from an agreement," he pauses briefly, "I have yet to tell the local lords that I've already accepted some... non-faeries into Somnia; them being my inner circles' families," he states a faint smile toying at the corner of his lips.
Oh, the Faerie Lord knew exactly the wrath he would be bringing down, he would have to enforce the safety of Sebastian and Amelia, Troy's child especially. Troy's child was a unique circumstance, even Andras was wary of allowing a vampiric child to roam Somnia but he trusted the faerie and in turn, would trust he would raise their child right. It was going to be an interesting battle to be had and yet, Sebastian and Amelia had yet to visit Somnia, Andras far too occupied to arrange a meeting. He would... soon. It was added to his always growing list of things to do. He's distracted by the fluctuating of Matteo's thoughts, Andras hardly realizing he was still prying into his mind. Abruptly, he closes that connection and apologizes to the Frenchman who responds in kind. Andras can't help but offer a smile in return, he wouldn't care to be in Matteo's mind, especially when one of his many episodes happened. The Faerie King merely nods his head in agreement.
As their conversation slowly turns to his father, Andras didn't realize he was practically holding his breath, he hardly wanted to be anything like his father. Yet, the moment those words leave Matteo's lips, Andras can't help but sigh, a sense of relief washing over him. He didn't think he was anything like his father, though, some would think differently. He played a dangerous game putting on that mask of cruelty to protect his court, only to be someone entirely different within the realm of his people. "Perhaps it makes me a monster to say this and yet, I can't bring myself to feel guilty," he shrugs, "But I am truly thankful that my father is no longer here to rule Somnia, I fear we would be engaged in a useless war or wiped out entirely," he pauses again, glancing at Matteo, matching his simper, "I can't tell you how difficult it was to rebuild the court," Andras admits, seeing no harm in stating such a thing. "Again, despite everything, I am glad my mother had you to turn to," he nods, he would never stop being grateful for Matteo, he already respected this man far more than most he met.
After they settled in the chairs, a miracle they were still intact, they raise their glasses to each other. It was far easier to chat with Matteo than some of his court, Andras hardly wanting to burden anyone else with his problems. Matteo truly was becoming a fast companion, he could easily see himself seeking the man out in the future for company. As they are drawn into deeper conversation, Andras is only slightly surprised at his response. The man hardly thought he would wipe out an entire mall and yet... he never thought he would attack Matteo in the way he did. With a wry smile, he takes another drink and shrugs, "If you want, we could still accomplish destroying part of the store," Andras grins at him, he wasn't truly into destroying private property but if Matteo felt the urge, well, he would join his new companion of such destruction. "Thank you for letting me use you as an... outlet. You're correct, I would have been rather distressed if I had destroyed something especially in the public eye. You've save me from making more of an ass of myself than I already have," he chuckles quietly, finishing off the drink and pouring once more for the both of them.
Matteo's reassurance of his future with Lani has Andras becoming a bit skeptical at the notion, he hardly thought Lani would ever get over this and yet, she was alive. His heart hurts for Matteo as he explains what had happened to him in the past, Andras raising his glass in a wordless toast, toasting the person who had captured the faerie's soul. "My condolences, it's never easy to lose someone close to you," he murmurs after he had taken a sip. He hardly wants to indulge in his self pity party, therefore he doesn't answer. Andras had an extremely long fuse for a temper and yet, it still managed to find the end of it today. He was decidedly thankful once more for Matteo to step in and rectify the problem. He's drawn out of his thoughts again by the solid connection of Matteo's hand at the back of his head. Reaching up automatically to rub at the back of his head, he laughs at the question, grinning at him. "Dorian wasn't particularly fond of the snow, Somnia has much more than the city ever gets and it was rather amusing to watch him walk through it. It seems to me that your son doesn't like the cold, he was extremely eager to return to the city. I, uh, am expecting a bit of anger from Sebastian when I meet him," he says wryly, knowing full well Dorian would tell his lover of what had happened.
"I did not handle the situation as I should have, Navi was the faerie who pushed him through said portal. She is not entirely... I guess you could say she's not very civilized," he practically cringes at the thought of the tiny faerie who angered easy and rather enjoyed the company of herself opposed to anyone else. Sighing, his shoulders raise in an almost exhausted movement, "She's a rather difficult one to deal with and yelling at her doesn't seem to do any good," he states tiredly as his dark hazel eyes traverse to Matteo once more. "I know my father had tried to... force you into his court," he winces at the memory, "I don't intend to ever do the same but whenever, if you ever want it, there's a place for you in Somnia if you ever decide to settle down," he winks at the man. Andras knows he would never accept the offer but perhaps he could entice him with a visit or two, see what he was missing out on.
