Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
"Home is not....broken....there was a door.....in my way."
This, it would seem- is a perfectly logical reason for the removal of the door in question, the yowling that had followed merely the boys attempts to both announce his presence and achieve Nadya's attention, his efforts dually rewarded as the woman strode from the hall and into the room. For a moment or so the dark eyed deviant is merely content to stare, Nadya's once large, swollen frame having returned to very near it's original, slender size. That this is a result of pregnancy and the subsequent birth is outside his ability to truly perceive, her sudden change of size an endless point of curiosity for the cat as he moved to shift from beast to man once more, fortunately having managed to retain his clothes on this particular occasion as he allows his claws to retract entirely- hands held up and towards the woman in an effort to prove how well he had listened on this particular occasion. Why he had remained so determined to see the kittens perhaps cannot be said, the fractured existence of his mind incapable of truly understanding his desires in this regard. He is frustrated, perhaps, at desiring to see his own offspring- the human side of himself indifferent, in a way- to such beings, incapable of truly appreciating or understanding his connection to them entirely, save for the eternal knowledge that they are his in some regard. His animalistic side however is significantly more assured of this...investment, the protective instincts of his Leopard self far more driven to be around what he has created, resulting perhaps in his demands within the forest- long limbs trailing after Nadya and up the hall.
It is the scent within the room that first seems to attract the often irritable creature, that unmistakable odour that belongs to him alone, intermingled with Nadya's own in this creation of an entirely knew being, a look of wary apprehension seeming to shift upon the young mans face as those dark eyes move to observe the room around him. It is the toys perhaps, that seem to delight the boy entirely, lips pulled into a grin of sorts, lopsided, though it is- at the sight of so many about the room- his desire to play with them ended only at the sight of Nadya reaching into the crib to produce their son within her arms. For a moment or so his head merely tilts to the side once more, dark eyes narrowed slightly in...suspicion of this entirely knew being, larger then he remembers, uncertainty seeming to taint his frame. He does not understand this process of growth and age, eyes flicking from Mother to child and back again in some desperate attempt to perceive how this has occurred, mind revolting against a thought process far too complex for him to truly decipher, resulting in little more then agitation once more before a brief and single cry from the boy seems to draw Tobias' attention once more.
It is was clear and notable wariness that the young man closes the distance between himself and his son, fathomless dark eyes drawn wide with clear intrigue at this small creature, Naddy's comment in regards to the toys lost within this moment as he merely extends one hand towards the child's arm, fingertips gingerly brushing against the smooth, baby skin- before Micah's sudden movements see Tobias lunge hurriedly backwards in alarm as if truly anticipating some form of attack.
"It is....making....sounds."
The squeals and cries and small sounds of a child are evidently foreign to the man, eyes clouded with reluctance once more, clearly having not anticipated such a thing because curiosity once more draws him closer, eyes cast downward briefly towards his daughter still resting within the crib- seeming content she is of no threat within that position, before his attention returns to Micah and Nadya once more- hand reaching out a second time to run fingers gently along that smooth skin once more. It is a new...softness he has not felt before, mind understanding to some extent perhaps the...delicacy of this creature with skin so soft, this creature that belongs to him and yet...unsettles him all at once. Dark eyes lift briefly to Nadya once more, hand withdrawn now, seemingly content with his discovery before gesturing to their son entirely.
"I want...to hold....him."
madness, as you know, is like gravity: all it takes is a little push
