Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

kissing death and loosing my breath
It had taken a measurable amount of effort to push away the remnants of the ghosts that haunted her cellar. A soft huff left her lips as she slowly eased herself weakly to the ground. The girl could fill her limbs shaking ever so slightly as she drew her legs up to her chest. She wrapped her arms around herself in an effort to calm the adrenaline that coursed through her veins. Her head leaned forward against her knees, hiding her softened features away from the rest of the world. A thin bead of sweat ran down the girl's forehead as she tried to focus on the one thing she could control - her breath. Slowly her grey tinged gaze flickered towards his companion as he fell on the floor with a thud, her eyebrows knitted together ever so slightly but the girl hardly moved. Serafina was still to put off by all she had seen, all the atrocities she had witnessed, to reach out to even touch the man. Of course she had known all along that there had been a measure of ferocity to him. She had known from their first meeting that there was a darkness that laced him but she had hardly known just how far deep it had gone. In retrospect - she should have.

She found feel the soft breath upon her skin, the gentle pressure against her skull as those spectral bodies began to return. They were different then before, somehow their presence was kinder and slowly, weakly, the girl turned her grey tinged gaze from the now unconscious man to the nearly see through figure that grasped at the herbs that lined her shelves. She watched with a disinterested gaze, as if she could hardly coax herself to do anything at all about it, even if the semi-transparent girl happened to be of malicious intent. She watched as the woman worked the herbs into a salve, her steely eyes staring at every movement the ghost made. It was her only attempt to ensure that no further harm came to the man, even if she was yet unsure of how she felt about him any further. Still, it was with some relief that Serafina noted that all the ingredients that made up the green goop were entirely restorative in nature and in silence she watched the ghastly fingertips massage it into his wounds.

The young woman flinched away from the soft cold touch that caressed her forehead, bringing her grey tinged eyes back to the ghost at hand. Her lips pressed together in a hard line through she hardly said a word. Instead her head shook ever so slightly, as if the young witch disagreed with the woman's sentiment before her gaze was cast to the far side of the room and the man that stood silently in the corner....still as a statue with his vibrant gaze still staring at her. It was fitting how her mentor was one of the few that had stayed, despite her efforts. She remained still and voiceless as the female specter beside her voiced the last few thoughts that lingered upon her mind. She said nothing and soon enough, the entire vision faded from her view - his siblings leaving like a breath of fresh air as warm slowly faded back into her home.
