Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
It pained Nadya to see any child questioning themselves as Maeve did. She honestly couldn't relate, even though her parents had died young, she had grown up in a loving adoptive family that had been an ally pack before. It still didn't sit right with Nadya that every child didn't experience that sort of love. "Of course they'll like you." She offered the young girl a reassuring smile before taking her out for that bite to eat. The young woman listened to Maeve talk, letting her guide the conversation and encouraging her passion for dancing the entire time.
Once she received confirmation from Sebastian it was time to get going. Nadya drove up into the higher end neighborhood reserved more for the celebrities and the corrupt lawyers. She glanced in the rearview mirror with a soft smile, "Dorian is a king of sorts so that makes Sebastian kind of one too. He used to live in a hotel when I first met him. Quite the upgrade, right?" No doubt if their past selves had told them back then where they would be now they would have thought it all lies. She didn't know how Sebastian could live in such a huge place, it wasn't like he had a pack after all to fill it. Nadya would feel too empty if it were just her and Frost.
Nadya easily slid into the roundabout driveway and opened the door for Maeve to climb out. She decided that now that they were here, before they entered, she had to warn Maeve about Sebastian particular species. Frost's earlier comment might have made Maeve uneasy but Nadya wanted to assure the girl that all was well here. Nadya wouldn't knowingly take Maeve somewhere dangerous. That was the complete opposite of her intended trip here after all. "Yes, funny, we'll go with that." Nadya chuckled as she guided Maeve up to the door.
She was of course surprised to find a man dressed in a proper tuxedo-like outfit opening the door to greet them. With a quirked brow Nadya addressed him and the pair were let in. Quite the upgrade indeed. Still, Nadya gave Maeve that same reassuring smile and nod as they followed the man through the hallways until he paused at the archway of the designated room. "Oh...an announcement...that's new. Could get used to that." Nadya joked lightly before her attention turned to Sebastian as he rose and questioned her. "Oh...uhm, yes...and no." Nadya gently nudged Maeve to be standing in front of her with her hands placed gently on each shoulder. "This is Maeve. We need your help."
Nadya couldn't help the way in which she gently stroked the ends of Maeve's hair in a motherly fashion as she spoke to Sebastian and Dorian. "She's fae, obviously, but she's alone. I stumbled upon her a while back and she was with a caretaker but now she says he's gone and someone else is taking care of her...but he's never around." That was not nearly the worst of it. Her true concern laid in the safety of course. "You know as well as I do how rare fae children are. Maeve told me she's already been attacked once and I'm worried about her being out and about on her own without an adult. I would take her of course, but...I know nothing about fae. I'd be useless in teaching her all that. So I was hoping, you knew of someone. She's a really gifted dancer; you should see her in class. She's smart too, she could probably give you a run for your money." Nadya ended that shpeal with a rather pointed look at the pair, indicating her thoughts on who Maeve would be better off with without outright saying it. And there it stood.
