Sacrosanct contains four distinct neighborhoods, each with their own specific kind of houses and residents. Explore our districts, view lists of our citizens and enjoy our block parties!
Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Harley watched as Isolt placed a protective but tender hand upon that robust round belly that somehow harboured a child in there. It look so.... Hard.. like her own body tried to create a wall of human flesh around it. For a moment, that vibrant gaze lingered there, curious and the woman damn near resisted the urge to reach out a single finger and poke her companion's large and in charge belly. What kind of child would be they be? Vampire? Something else? Human? There were definitely no rules about this, it felt like she had been pregnant for.... Forever. How much had happened... since those years of returning to that cursed city. It had been nothing but a whirlwind. What a world would that little precious being come into? Harley seemed to think about that... and if those unspoken words could only spill out. She would tell her to get out of Sacrosanct, if she wanted her family to have any semblance of a chance. Harley could not imagine Risque being at all interested in a child... no, she had more mature tastes. But it didn't mean, she couldn't send out the brigade. A slow shake of her head had the were-cat return to her senses, her face no longer distance but regain a semblance of mischief. "She has no idea what shes coming into... shes probably going to take one damn look around and be like fuck this.. I want back in.." Harley mused out loud, mischievous amusement flickering within her vibrant unique purple hued eyes. A easy laughter suddenly escaped her, yeah, she had no problem laughing at her own stupid jokes.
Settling with all the pre-prepared goods stowed away in the ample confines of her land yacht's trunk they were ready to kiss this place goodbye. Record time for the duo, especially when Harley found infinite things to busy herself at the last moment. It wasn't long before those scrawled out x's were brought under scrutiny, that neat somewhat bashful look threatened to appear upon her features then at being called out on her careful planning. Yet what her friend had meant she had absolutely no idea, her brows rose in sudden confusion at the insinuation lingering between them. "Is, my nights are about as cold as the arctic. Well.... Except for Ace..... sometimes... Okay... I'm weak. Sometimes I just want to cuddle. Fuck." There was a humour lilt to her declared words. That subject seemed to shift back toward that map littered in carefully sharpie marked x's in emphasized bold letters. That very process taking to damn long.. but the last thing she wanted was to end up in the middle of some long sprawling highway with the sun coming up. Call it looking ahead, being responsible or whatever, but she didn't want any accidental fires when it came to her companion. Harley was quite proud of her sensible planning.
Isolt's mood seemed to brighten, chattering happily on how those usual afflictions of pregnancy hardly ailed her, one of the perks of being a vampire it would seem, Harley easily navigated those roads ahead. How many times had she checked her damn rearview mirror, just in case. The woman hardly seemed to relax until they were well out of the choking hold of Sacro. There was some level of curiosity and horror. Kids... were terrifying. How Isolt could be so calm about all of it seemed to shock her. How perplexing it was to Harley and she had no desire to scrutinize it to far or else she was sure it would have only created a whole slew of questions Harley wasn't sure she could wrap her head around it. Regardless, the little nugget inside of her companion's belly was coming. But that all... seemed unimportant as her crimson haired companion happily added a game changing morsel of information. That insane surprise nearly caused her to jerk the wheel, unintentionally. "SAY WHAT?" The raven haired woman exclaimed, loudly, stealing but a glance at the massive ring that donned upon her companion's finger. Well that was a game changer. Perhaps even given her long time companion a true reprieve from the vampire's curse of fleeing to the shadows, maybe that meant.... She wouldn't be touched by the darkness their kind tend to harbor inside of them. Maybe it all had to do with lack of light.
She could walk out in the daylight? She stole a stunned glimpse to Isolt before returning her eyes to the road. Vampires and their allergy to sunlight was well known.... Never had she heard about them being able to walk in daylight. "Holy shit. I mean that is... incredible." She continued, squeezing the steering wheel just a little tighter. Vampires.. out in the day. That was horrifying... but this was her friend and her husband. Not Risque and her cronies. "Damn, Damon. You guys married and he still isn't slacking. You do know what this means right? You can still go to matinées and get a tan.... Not that you ever did that. Even before turning all fangs... you burned the moment sunlight so much as looked at you too long." Harley could not help that chuckle that escaped her, as they drove along that open road, leaving Sacrosanct in their dust. Relief..... seemed to edge upon her, nothing was following them. A soft sigh escaped her, happy to allow the tension leave her shoulders. So much was happening.. Isolt was going to be a mother, she was no longer confined to the shadows.... And Harley... was basically... an owned slave by night and tattoo artist and artist extraordinaire. It certainly had an interesting ring to it. But truly it could be worse.... She was able to escape those clutches...
She listened to that story of how pregnancy had been effecting her.. and truthfully she could hardly help that rich laughter that escaped her. She could imagine her companion running around like mother hen. "Isolt, you are one of those people that was... like born ready for this kind of mother stuff. Even before all the prep." She believed it.
"What about me?" Her gaze grew somber then.
"I am just trying to survive.. I mean... my life is no longer my own. Tetradore is a dick. Vampires are even bigger dicks... sorry.. no offence. My life is like.... A series of dicks finding new and inventive ways to fuck me. But its ok... I have.... A little help I think.. It shows up in the randomest of times.... Mostly uninvited...... and not unwelcomed. You know.. being a cat is really weird... I have all these new urges.. When I like something I just wanna rub up on it. Its really inconvenient. " Her thoughts shift away for a moment, that sarcasm coming in hot at first and perhaps softening some as she continued.
"Look.. I don't want to talk about this anymore.. I just want to enjoy a moment of freedom.... Even if it's only for a little while.." Harley grew quiet as they continued... that drive sprawling out.. at least until she saw that massive sign in the dark distance. They must have driven for hours... hell, it must be sunrise soon.. A sign that promised.... 24 hour.....partycity. Well, that seemed interesting. "Isolt look." Harley motioned, removing her hand on the wheel to point at the sign. "Looks like it would be ridiculous..... and ridiculous is exactly what I need.. What do you say.. we take our first excursion? I think we are far enough from the city... that anything in it... is staying." Plus stretching her legs seemed wonderful. That feline inside of her was getting restless.
