Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
The Sun Also Rises
This very evening, Dorian had decided, had threatened to become a terribly long one in the wake of his and Sebastian's inability to so.....finish just what they had started within the back of the town car. How utterly disappointing it was to so be forced to set aside those veritable wants and indeed, rather notable needs in Sebstians case, to be forced to engage with those members of the public once more! Duty, Dorian had come to decide, so continually seemed determined to get in the way of those things (or people) he would rather be doing. It was, perhaps regrettably, a rather notable part of his being King. An expectation on both Sebastian and himself to perform those royal duties and submit to incessant public fawning was nothing short of demanded from them on a daily basis and yet Dorian once more found himself quite desiring but even ten minutes more of peace of solitude from the world at large! How distinctly disappointing it was to be denied such a thing with those university dignitaries already so eagerly lined up outside their car and so keenly awaiting his lover and himself. Dorian was, in the very least, so lacking the rather distinct....arousal of his husband. His own figure so hardly having suffered the distinct effects of his own touch to quite the same notable magnitude. Dorian, despite himself, was unable to prevent the amusement that found his features at his lovers efforts to both contain and conceal that distinctly evident excitement upon his figure. For as long as this tour was sure to stretch his own patience Dorian was assured he would be far, far longer for his husband with Sebastian so forced to walk about in such a state! That very amusement lingered readily upon his features as Dorian leaned forward to steal that final kiss from his lover. That very gesture so hardly lacking in desire and indeed, so hardly like to help his companion in any sense before the Monarch leaned away once more. A grin of near perfect impishness so daring to dance upon his features before he stepped from that car. Dorian, in that moment, so smoothly rearranging his face into that look of polite intrigue he so reserved for meetings such as this. EVen if his thoughts remained upon an entirely different notion indeed!
It was fortunate, perhaps, that such pleasantries did not last terribly long. Those University dignitaries were keen to retreat from the cold and rain and in turn so sought to usher Sebastian and himself inside with equal speed. Dorian, in that moment, content to cast but the barest of glimpses towards his lovers groin in a look of amused curiosity. That trench coat Sebastian had chosen so doing a remarkable job of concealing what existed beneath and yet how readily that knowledge only sought to displease the Monarch all the more! How terribly he disliked to leave such things unfinished. How unfortunate this tour was so sure to be guided one. Sebastian, he was certain, would remember each and every room in which they might have been left alone for even but a few minutes. Such thoughts, for now, were regrettably pressed to the side of the Fae Kings thoughts as they stepped within that large entrance hall. That architecture was nothing short of glorious! Those halls so beautifully sculpted and markedly impressive. That such a building was a school was nothing short of remarkable in every sense. The warmth of that building was equally welcome in turn. Dorian's silver gaze had no sooner shifted away from the roof and windows to the well-adorned walls then his eyes so fell upon that decidedly new framed picture of his own husband nestled amongst those esteemed alumni who hung proudly beside him. Sebastian, in turn, appeared equally surprised by such a sight as the Chancellor himself hurried forward to explain Sebastian's recent inclusion upon that honour wall of sorts. His marriage into royalty, it seemed, having deemed him worthy of such a position. How very many questions Dorian so found he had on just such a thing! Sebastian, perhaps fortunately, seemed inclined to offer that expected, polite response with his insistence he was pleased to have such an honour. The Chancellor, in response, very near beaming with pleasure.
How very intriguing it was to be within such a place in which Sebastian had, once, spent a very great deal of time. Dorian, once more, found himself rather inclined to a number of questions and yet how assured he was that Sebastian alone might prove capable of answering them. The Monarch, for now, so insisting he desired to see those places in which Sebastian and studied and too- to ask others what other subjects might be taken up within those halls. The Chancellor, is his truly obscure dress robes, was ever eager to continue onward. The man taking a clearly distinct pride in his university and yet Dorian so hardly found he faulted him in such a thing. It was an impressive place. That list of subjects alone he was so provided with prompted the raise of his own eyes in surprise. Such variety! Language, political science, religion, law, music, medicine, mathematics, economics, education, archeology and even the history of art! The very mention of such a thing so readily capturing the Monarch's attention. How terribly pleasant it must be to be afforded such an opportunity to engage in such a subject as that! Dorian, in that moment so finding himself near inclined to frown at his own education, all those years ago, by Ferdinands tutor. The Monarch never once so having had that chance to learn from any other being on any other topic outside those things Ferdinand deemed needed or indeed that which Dorian could read for himself. How terribly fortunate Sebastian had been. Although....surely, he had not had to wear such an outfit as so many of those dignitaries seemed to sport!
Dorian's near whispered question upon just those very robes so readily prompted Sebastian's own soft whisper in turn as they walked. His lover's voice, in that moment, so holding a distinctly firm and yet decidedly pleasing British lilt- one that seemed to find the vampire most securely in those moments in which that arousal clung to his figure. Dorian so finding himself distinctly enjoying those lilting words- perhaps far more than he should.Ah, but how readily his mind so returned to the back of that car and those very things he so preferred to be doing! Sebastian's voice, here and now, nothing short of distinctly pleasing in every way. The Monarch so forcing himself to pay attention to those very words all the same. Those robes, it seemed, an indication of rank.
"Ah, I see, they denote ones standing. Although I think it is still fortunate you did not wear such things. Even within my own time we did not dress so very....boldly as that."
Those hats, Dorian was certain, had gone out of fashion even before the year of his own birth! That party came to a ready stop at the base of the grand staircase then. A young woman quickly made her way toward them only to offer to take their coats. Dorian, with little thought, so readily moving to offer his own only to realise that such a thing, for Sebastian, might surely be a decidedly poor idea. Ah, but how that very grin so found his features once more! The monarch content to offer those near devilish words in that moment. Such a distinct choice of phrase hardly lost upon his companion- that very look Sebastian afforded him only furthering that grin then as the woman was quickly ushered away and the Chancellor led them further into that University. How curious Dorian found himself in those classrooms and halls and yet- how distinctly aware of Sebastian he remained all the same! Those very wants upon his own figure so hardly having lessened. The Monarch so finding himself rather terribly drawn between desiring to learn more of that university and too- so picturing all those very places he would rather have explored with Sebastian alone! Especially with that very state of readiness he knew the vampire existed within!
Dorian so shifted away from that group on several occasions to peer within classroom doors or glance from those windows to the courtyards below. The Monarch remaining distinctly aware of his husband's place all the same. Dorian, over those years they had been together, so having formed a habit of drifting back to Sebastian's side every few moments on occasions such as this when they strode through places Dorian remained unfamiliar off. They progressed only further into that university then, the Chancellor content to explain each room and its use. Dorian, this time, readily content to pause to eye several aged paintings that had been so beautifully restored upon the walls. One picture in particular so holding his attention.'Those were gifted to the university by the Royal Art Gallery on loan. Each year we exchange artworks to provide the students with an experience of culture. Do you like them? The Chancellors words so readily prompted Dorian's own gaze to shift sideways as his head nodded, that polite smile finding his lips.
"Yes, it is masterful work and the human form is captured very well."
The Chancellors grin readily widened once more before the man moved to eagerly waved them onward. Dorian, in that moment, so lingering momentarily before that picture several moments longer, his fingers shifting but ever so slightly to capture Sebastian's coat and halt his lover beside him. The two afforded but those few precious seconds alone.
"Bastian?"
His lover's name wa sso hardly above a whisper just loud enough for the vampire alone to hear before Dorian so nodded towards that painting he stood before. That distinctly faint touch of amusement so daring to linger upon the Fae's lips.
"Do you know I have that exact bit of furniture in one of my guest rooms back in our Palace in Naples? I am assured we could make use of it in just the same way.'
How devilish that very grin that found the Monarch's features then. Dorian so inclined to chuckle softly before he moved to turn neatly away from that artwork and so move to join that group once more. Sebastian so momentarily left to examine that decidedly....erotic piece. That painting so pictured that naked couple sprawled upon a chaise lounge with but one very clear intention. Dorian, in that moment, rather assured he would have made use of but any piece of furniture they might have been given at that moment. How terribly hard it was to focus! The monarch wholly content to continue that near playful game he had begun with his husband with those teasing, playful words before that music room seemed to ensnare his lovers attention. Sebastian moved to step into that practice room then, the piano tucked into the corner having readily ensnared the vampires intrigue as Dorian's own gaze shifted over the medals and trophies within. Sebastian's ready insistence that he had founded the King's College Music Society within that very room so coaxing that lift of Dorian's gaze once more.
"Did you really?"
How utterly glorious Sebastian so looked beside that piano in that moment! His husbands wholly prominent accent so hardly assisting in lessening the Monarch's distinct wants here and now. Dorian, for the first time, so shifting his own weight near......restlessly lest he find himself so requiring the return of his own jacket. How very much he would so have desired to have Sebastian in this room. Surrounded by such history and with such a glorious piano he was assured he could coax the vampire to play for him. The monarch, in that moment, near oblivious to the notion he had failed to look away from his husband in several long moments. Dorian assured Sebastian still remained in just that perfect state of readiness for-. The very notion that someone was speaking to him so seemed, at last, to garner his attention. Dorian hurriedly turning his gaze toward the young woman explaining those medals and awards, the Fae so staring ner blankly at her for but a moment too long before hurriedly nodding.
"Yes, quite."
What on earth she had said he hardly knew! The woman seemed pleased with his response all the same before they began to file from that room once more. Dorian so briefly afforded but several seconds alone with his husband again, that Chancellor still lingering outside the door in a fashion Dorian found dreadfully unfortunate. A ready grin finding his lips for his lover all the same. Dorian so shifting to stand behind his husband just so, his fingers so reaching around to rest beside the vampires own atop that surface of that instrument. That playful simper upon his lips still.
"I quite adore you with that piano. I find this entire place far more...likeable than I anticipated and yet at the same time I have never desired to leave anywhere faster. How unfortunate that neither of us can fake a sudden illness. I shall need them to return my coat shortly...."
