Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
The Englishman was nothing if not diligent in the task he had been 'assigned', those liquors he knew were favored by his in-laws were chosen with distinct care. Though Mira was much the wild card, wine was nothing but safe to offer a woman, at least within his own day and age. He offered the delicate flute to the young woman, his father and brother-in-law both seemed satisfied with their tumblers of harder liquid. He gave the fire burning in the hearth but a small glance before his attention returned towards his husband. Sebastian offered his lover that wine he knew Dorian seemed to prefer, his lover's word of gratitude prompted a warm simper from his lips. "You're welcome, love." He muttered softly, only to take his place upon the sofa at the Italian' Monarch's side. The stark blue of his irises lingered upon the strange Hispanic woman across from them, the way she eyed that glass of alcohol had certainly not gone unmissed by the vampire. Admittedly, he was hardly surprised that it had been 'ages' since the woman had indulged in a proper glass of wine. After all, he had partied with his fair share of females from this era, most preferring some mixed cocktail of some kind to the simple decadence of aged grapes. Such thoughts, however, were kept to himself as he sipped upon the substance, the vampire content to allow his husband to query after the very thin from his sibling - even with Aiden's near exasperated stare.
Thankfully, that topic of wine was hardly one that was dwelt upon as Mira regaled the family of her first meeting with their Aiden. It was...an interesting first evening, he had to admit, though the admittance of Mira's animal half seemed to interest his lover. It was, admittedly, curious that a wolf and panther had become destined for each other, though he knew distinctly little of were relationships. Was it commonplace? This love that transcended even animal species? Though, Sebastian supposed that with his own marriage to what should have been his greatest victim was, perhaps a very glimpse of those vast differences that love could surely cross. A soft chuckle left his lips as Mira playfully bumped her leg against Aiden's own, his own husband taking the moment to jest in ways he so often did not. It was, however, a shame that the conversation was destined to turn far more somber, the very mention of those traps prompted an almost sharp retort from his brother-in-law as if Aiden had far too many interactions with incidents like this.
Sebastian was hardly surprised that such a dark truth to the world had an effect upon his far too gentle King. Dorian, after all, had been protected by the cruelties of modern life, that curse was, at times, a blessing in its own way. "Darling, I do not think we have that sort of power here." He gently reminded his lover, though Italy might bow to their whims, Sacrosanct was outside their governing, a Commission terribly unlikely to help the outskirts of the metropolis. "But perhaps you could speak to the mayor about the issue?" The Englishman suggested, after all, the pair had become rather...friendly. There was little fault to be found in utilizing such a political alliance to benefit the supernatural species. After all, was this not the sort of platform Dareios had run on? Thankfully, Matteo seemed keen to turn that conversation away and back towards the true enigma of the room - Mira herself. How easily the Frenchman welcomed her into their family, even if Aiden hardly seemed to be properly dating her. This, however, was a point that Dorian seemed unwilling to let go of. Revenge, of sorts? For keeping them in the dark about the woman?
Inquisitively, all eyes seemed to fall upon the couple. Aiden, however, appeared altogether put out by this affair the man muttering at the ceiling before, abruptly, providing Mira with that very question that all but her seemed to desire an answer to. Briefly, the blue of his irises met the striking silver of his husband's own before Sebastian's shoulder lifted in a vague shrug. This was a veritable first for the vampire. Mira, however, seemed to consider that proposal astutely, that answer almost purposefully drawn out. Matteo, it seemed, was not the only one in their family for dramatic flare. His head bobbed in silent agreement to his lover's insistence that they were pleased to meet Aiden's girlfriend. Any woman who could warm the heart of that stoic man surely deserved welcoming into their decidedly tightknit family. His gaze trailed towards his lover as Dorian sought to get his brother's attention. That offer for assistance was...hardly unexpected, though whether or not Aiden took it was another matter entirely. Inquisitively, the vampire's irises fluttered between the pair of siblings - this, after all, was not his business to mettle in.
