Anacosta Heights

Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

I know some things should just stay broken

i'm well aware this should remain unspoken

A soft breath left Sterling's lips as he leaned against the door frame of Henry's bedroom. He hardly made an effort to open the door, the warlock entirely aware of those angry footsteps on the other side. His voice was almost gentle as he offered an apology, insisting that he knew Henry had done his best, even if his best had failed to be enough for the warlock. He was hardly prepared, admittedly, for those words thrown back at him through the door. His eyebrow rose ever so slightly, though Sterling chose not to rise to the bait. How was it that he was the one who had been abandoned and cheated on and yet, somehow, it had become his fault? His eyes fluttered closed as Sterling took a deep breath, steadying himself whilst letting his own emotions simmer down. A soft thud against the door caused the Warlock's bright blue eyes to flicker open - though the door itself hardly budged. The silence persisted for another moment before Henry's voice echoed again from the other side, this time far closer. He hardly answered Henry immediately, his tongue flicked over his lips in careful consideration of his response. This was a conversation he had hardly been ready for but one, it seemed, that was necessary.

"I...understand you thought I died...and that...that hurt you, Henry. But you have to understand how your actions affected me. You may be hurting but.....I'm not dead so....you have no reason to feel like part of you died anymore either. I'm still here. But...I was still alone...for months while you were sleeping with Malia. I get...that that was a mistake...and you were high and..." Another sigh left his lips before he shook his head ever so slightly. "....God, why the fuck am I even trying." He uttered softly, more to himself than anyone else. It didn't matter how he felt. Henry would never understand. He'd expect Sterling to forgive him for everything while he was under the influence of the drugs and alcohol and everything else. He'd expect him to merely pick up the pieces left behind and if he failed to do so, it would be his fault. It reminded him so very much of his own mother. It'd been years since he thought of her and yet...this was exactly what living with her had been like. Sterling hadn't mattered then either. His wants, his thoughts, his dreams, his aspirations. None of it mattered as much as whatever the drugs made them feel. "....just forget it. I'm going to put away the leftovers if you get hungry again." He commented, stepping away from the door. This was, he was sure, exactly why they had broken up.
