Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

I almost feel the rush of regret when he first opens the door because there's a flash of something in his eyes..something that makes me feel I'm not wholely welcome on this day. Did I come at a bad time? I feel stricken for a moment and just when I'm about to give up and excuse myself, I sense something in his expression soften when he recognizes me and though his words are not overly amused, they're not considered hostile either. I fight indecision for only a moment more before I clear my throat and force myself a little straighter, images of Frost in my head to strengthen my resolve. "No, I promise." I answer back as coolly as I can, my eyes meeting his evenly for the first time as I drop my arms to my sides. As his eyes narrow, I'm once more left wondering if I should come back another time but then he steps aside, as good an invitation as I'm going to get, it would seem.

Nodding my head as thanks, I move into the house, sure to give plenty of space so I don't mistakenly brush him since I'm still not fully sure of him in this state. I can't help the way my eyes flit around the room I walk into, taking in the minute details since the last time I was here, I couldn't really focus on the actual house because I was too preoccupied by the two mostly naked men in the room. Only after a moment more of perusing do I turn back to face him. "I'm sorry, I know you didn't expect me but I don't exactly know how to use a phone to call or anything so I hope you'll just hear me out so I can leave you to your....silence." I bite my bottom lip on the last word as I look around and see no one else here. I guess that means he doesn't have more company to entertain so that's not why he's a little irritated. Must be because he didn't want company at all then.

At his sudden question, my eyes widen a little as I shake my head. "No! No angry mobs this time. Pinky swear." And I do actually lift up my pinky this time as I learned this new little gesture from a little girl at the cafe the other day. I know it may be embarassing to some to admit they made friends with an eleven year old over tea and potato chips but for me, friends are hard to come by these days. I sigh, gathering my courage before I look back up to meet his eyes. "I...want to be your familiar." There, I said it.
