Hawethorn Village

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Perhaps Raven understands the traumatic situation that Isolt is going through right now. No, she was not a human first and turned into a horrid creature, cursed to roam the Earth as something she didn't ask for. Rather she had changed overnight and lost everything she never knew or thought she could experience before. The first time she had fell to the scourge of her feral mind it left her motherless. As a young pup, somehow she had managed to kill the only thing that would ever show her truly what it meant to love. When she woke up her hands covered with blood and seeing her Mother's ragged bloody form in front of her caused the poor girl to breakdown. Somehow at such a young age she managed to kill an adult on accident. Yet her own Father and pack could not forgive her. Instead they held her accountable and felt that she needed to be treated differently and suffer the consequences. No one knew how to treat her. No one was sure what was really wrong with her. All they had were their superstitions and few snippets of passages from books explaining that there really was no cure or way to heal her curse. Instead the best way to handle the situation was to use violence, because as we all know, violence solves everything. In Isolt's case, the curly haired woman was willing to try a different path, to offer the cursed girl kindness. Not falling back on fallacies or reading adipocere books that would be most unhelpful. Perhaps in Isolt's situation showing her some sort of good could at least help her go through this difficult time. It was far better than dragging her and locking her up in a cage and profusely beat the 'dangerous' side of her into submission.

Sitting on the couch that seemed to stretch over the entire back wall of the living room she would wait patiently for Isolt to come out of the powder room. Blue-grey eyes roamed from the alluring fire over towards the fox-girl curled up on the other end of the couch. Really she wasn't mad at Alexis. She couldn't blame the woman for her words or reactions. She was putting the young girl in a difficult situation, without asking for her opinion when she should have, but really how could she turn Isolt away. After explaining as much as she could to Alexis a small satisfied grin appeared on her lips while she nodded her head.

"We all make mistakes, but we can make up for it by learning from them. I know you will do well, this is just different- for both of us."

Grabbing a book lying on top of the desk beside her spot on the couch, long nimble fingers would open the book at the point where the bookmark was. With the comfort and warmth coming from the fire across from her she would settle deeper into the couch her eyes moving over the words quickly as the sound of the shower came on. Unconcerned with the time she would let it pass by until she heard the water stop running. As soon as Isolt appeared in her robe she would wave her hand to the side not concerned at all that she was wearing something that didn't belong to her. Truly she didn't mind and really, she wouldn't blame the girl for not wanting to wear her previous clothes. Placing the bookmark at her new stopping point she would place it in her lap giving Isolt a genuine smile as she attempted to reassure Isolt's false belief that she was being a hindrance.

"You aren't bothering anyone. You can stay as long as you'd like. You need a safe place to stay and we aren't using the entire house. I know this is a difficult transition, but you need people."

I'd Rather Feel Pain Then Nothing At All
