Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

I know Azrael has a real lacking in the department of humor. Maybe that's why I enjoy taunting him so much. I am not phased by the sharp glare he gives me, his shoulders rolling as I mention not living here. I do tend to spend more of my time at Kohl's but it's more from him not feeling comfortable in my home than because I'm more comfortable there. I could care less about furniture and niceties. I enjoy not having a lot of distractions. It makes me feel more efficient and focused. It's not like it's easy for me to concentrate on a case when I have Kohl breathing on my neck and trying to convince me it would be so much more fun to remain in bed the rest of the day. I swear that man hardly works a day of his life.

I know his question of Paris probably has more to do with the Council's surprise that I would even ask for time off for anything. I've never taken time off a day of my life but somehow Kohl was able to talk me into it. He lays the papers out on the table and I take the time to lean forward and study them as he talks. When he mentions Kohl, I glare up at him, well aware he probably takes more pleasure in this than he'd ever admit. It's not like he hides his dislike of Kohl. I scowl even deeper as he gets onto me. "I never said you did, Azrael. I bet you get some sort of sick pleasure from this, none the less." I admit bitterly before turning my attention back to the papers.

When I mention vampires, he says it's not dark enough and I scoff. "Who says we have to come at their convenience? I find them to be rather more talkative with a little sunshine in their face." When he asks if I have everything I need, I shrug and smirk. "I always have everything I need. That's the difference between a woman and a man." I give him a teasing smirk as I brush past him. I have at least five daggers on me at all times, many of them soaked in holy water and blessed by priests for extra damage to the unholy ones. He past me in a blur and I roll my eyes with a mutter. "Show off."

I move out into the street with him, figuring he had grabbed all of the paperwork with him as I start walking down the sidewalk. I hate to drive unless it's absolutely necessary or I'm dong it for the fun of it. I like stealth over speed any day. I nod as he speaks. "Shouldn't be too hard. Just follow the muffled screams." Again with the teasing humor. I just can't get enough of playing with Azrael. He mentions Alexander and I scowl. I remember the other hunter from the attack on the witchery and I can't really say he impressed me. I shake my head. "Such a brave man, you are, Azrael. Fine, I'll drop it off but if he needs an outlet later, I'm telling him where you live." My eyes glower at him as I continue walking.
