Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
He smirks and rolls his eyes, all confidence like usual. I watch him as he moves so gracefully toward the couch, remembering all too well just how graceful he is in other areas too. I squirm as I brush the thoughts away, knowing that we'll never get to use the weapons before us if I start thinking about that night. I get too caught up in him. I wonder idly if it's because he was my first, if because I kept my virtue for so long that I opened myself up for this. I was so strict in my discipline that no one could get close to me, not until Kohl came into my life. He broke down those barriers and got to me and I caved. I gave into my bodily urges instead of following my gut and now here I am, too distracted by watching him move to focus on the task at hand. His words cause my brow to curl upward somewhat. I know how he fights...dirty. He uses his sexpertise to distract me and ultimately get what he wants. Well I'm determined not to let that happen again, hopefully ever, though just the thought has my body aching with need. He raises his brow and chuckles at his own words as he rests his hand daringly on my thigh. My eyes turn to daggers, hating him for this move in strategy as my skin tingles with desire at his touch, wanting more, needing more. He runs his fingers over my smooth flesh and I look away in determination not to give in, to try to ignore the sensations coming to life thanks to his fingers. I try to focus on the weapons again and he sighs, using this opportunity to let his fingers go all the way up to the rim of my shorts. I grit my teeth, knowing that to jump up right now would just give him a victory that I'm determined not to give. At his comment, I know he's waiting for a favorable reaction so I speak through clenched jaws. "I'm sure." Finally he moves his hand away and I release the breath I was holding as he folds his arms behind his head. His look is that of an opponent in chess, waiting for me to make my counter move to his "check." I move my own gaze to the falling sun in the window and I feel him doing the same. I can sense him tensing up. He's never been a fan of the hunt but that won't stop me from trying. He suddenly stands, pulling out from under my legs like its the most natural thing in the world and I hate myself for how much I wish he was still there, touching me. I sit up as well, watching with a raised brow as he disappears into my ktichen. I wait with a tilted head as he reappears with a piece of paper, looking at him in question. He sits back down on the arm and I catch a flash of the menu as he tosses it to me with a grin before I note his eyes watching my hands run along the weapon I decided to pick up. My eyes glow with humor the moment he opens his mouth. I should have known he would have something up his sleeve. Finally I smirk before grabbing the menu and putting a lighter up to it. I watch his eyes as I light it, smelling the smoke as the menu turns to ash. I stomp it out on the floor so it doesn't catch fire and put the lighter back with the other weapons, turning a wry smirk back to him as I shrug. "Whoops, looks like we'll be needing another menu. It's a good reason to get out and get some fresh air while we're doing that." My eyes are triumphant because I don't have a computer for him to take out and look it up on the internet and I don't have a TV for him to entertain himself with. I shake my head, trying to look almost sad but it doesn't hide the amusement glistening in my eyes. "So sorry, forgot to pick one of those up. I'm more of an outdoors girl, myself. You should try it sometime." I nudge my head toward the weapons as I stand up, grabbing a stake and more then enough knives which I stick in different nooks and crannies of my casual outfit as I glance back toward him. "Now be a good boy and grab something on your way out. I'd hate to see you break another perfectly good IPad over someone's head." My smile is teasing as I brush past him, purposely letting my hand trail over his shoulder, my fingers brushing against his exposed neck as I head to the door. |
