South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Scarlett Trivale

So try to love me
And i'll try to save you

Scarlett knew that Weres could be naturally born, but she didn't know or understand the specifics of it. She didn't know if it worked similar to how animals bred, with species and hybrids, or if the children could transform from birth or if they hit a certain age and gained their animal forms. It wasn't exactly something she could google, nor was it something the other supernatural in her home town could tell her. She knew it was a bizarre question, based on the confusion that crossed Nadya's face, but it was something she just didn't know. The wolf had never had a teacher, everything she knew she learned through personal experience or the rare interaction with others of her kind who would tell her. Her demeanor perked again when the panther answered her questions, as foolish as they may seem. It was interesting, and Scarlett's green eyes seemed to sparkle with the new knowledge she had obtained. "Oh, so Weres can reproduce with Weres of the same species or those that are close enough genetically that they create hybrids like leguars or ligers?" Perhaps this was not the time or place for these questions, but they bubbled up regardless, and there was a sea of other questions beneath them. Scarlett was still trying to figure out if she was now more human or animal, and atleast in the regard of breeding it appeared more animal.

When offered some of the goat, the wolf's natural instincts were to wait. It was a sign of submission, to wait until given permission to move forward, be that whenever Nadya saw fit. When the panther stood and moved a few paces away, Scarlett slowly crawled over on her belly, her ears and head low still trying to make sure she wasn't overstepping any boundaries. She made sure to keep the clouds from reforming over the panther, all the sun to trickle down on atleast her even if she couldn't get it to do the same for the rest of the city. When she reached the goat, she gaze Nadya one more patient hesitant look, as if she was waiting for the panther to stop her. When she received nothing she gently picked at the parts that were less desirable than other parts, leaving what every predator always ate first for Nadya who had caught the goat to begin with. Scarlett could remember the first time her instincts had taken over and she had killed an animal and eaten it. She remembered how sick she felt at first, how long it had taken her to accept that this was her new reality; she was a killer who needed meat, she was a wolf. Now she didn't even think of it, it had become second nature and hunting had helped save her from starving on a few occasions when she couldn't afford food for herself.

She stopped eating for a moment to look at the panther, who asked all about where her creator was and if she'd been in a pack, shaking her bloody head no. "I've never been in a pack and the wolf that bit me didn't exactly stick around. I got bitten when I was eleven, I thought there was a stray dog in my barn and I went to help it. Turns out it was a werewolf. He was scared and thin, and he bit me when I got too close before he ran from the barn. I never saw him again, I don't even think he came back to check in on me when the first full moon came. Unfortunately I grew up in a tiny, rural town. there were no packs or other Weres, so I had to learn what I could from some older witches and fae that lived nearby. I stumbled upon a pack once in my travels, but I got chased off. So now I live here because of school, and nine years after I was bitten i'm still learning," she went on to tell her little sad story, but it was the best way to answer Nadya's questions and have her truly understand, at least a little, of how hard Scarlet''s life had been. The young girl had been discovering things for herself from day one, after having been thrust into this world of supernatural.

When she had her fill, she slowly scooted back from the goat to let Nadya come back. But she didn't scoot back the same distance as before, she was closer in a small way to show her growing comfort and trust in the black feline. She went to work cleaning her creamy colored pelt, stopping only in surprise at the offer extended to her. Green eyes blinked at Nadya as she stared for a moment, surprise written clearly over her canine face. Her banner waved and she gave a small wolfish smile. "Well, I have a small little apartment I live in currently, but i've been really struggling to find work," she was being truthful. She had an apartment, small and not the best, but it was something. But she'd been struggling with rent because she didn't have a job, her grandparents had helped her but now they were gone and desperation was starting to set in for the girl. She could be a very good waitress, friendly, pretty, kind. It was an oppurtunity to get her feet beneath her, and she wasn't about to run from this.

She tried her best to clean herself and contain any excitement she felt. She hardly noticed that the sky above her was naturally beginning to clear up as she forgot her sadness, if only for a moment. She stopped cleaning suddenly with a question she wondered if Nadya knew. "Hey, have you ever met a Were named Frost?" She asked, her head tilting curiously. She wanted to see other people's views on him, passed what she had seen of the Werehorse. They were from different packs, but Nadya had surely lived in Sacrosanct long enough to have met him at least once, and Scarlett wanted to know if that experience was good or bad.
