The Macedonian King understood the equestrian kind well. He perhaps equally so understood, to some extent, the were-species as a whole. He knew enough necessary to kill their kind with surprising efficiency. He knew of their vulnerabilities, their weaknesses, their packs, their strengths, their shifts. For so many years, the eradication of their kind had been his job, one he had embraced fully for nearly a century before the world shifted and his attentions too became captivated by life beyond the sheer massacre of those abominations that walked the earth. She was hardly the first of his were-equines, nor was his experience with the mounted cavalry of the hunters restricted entirely to those that roamed the forests of the city. It was this plethora of knowledge that saw him hold such a steadfast faith in the young, newly changed girl beneath him, even if she herself was entirely hesitant and lanky within her newfound body. It wasn't often for the Council to pair a hunter and a were together from the beginning of their change and it was this which Alexander too had in mind. He had seen impenetrable bonds form between hunter and were and this, he was assured, had the capability of becoming just that.

Regardless of his intentions, however, Alexander wanted to make absolutely certain that the girl beneath him was capable of grasping the very basics of such skills before he placed upon her spine the perhaps singular person that still held any true meaning to him. He was, so to speak, putting the young woman through her paces. The lurch of the young woman's body as she jumped forward hardly caught the man off guard, his body adjusting well to the new motion as he made his own mental notes on what would have to be worked on. Slow, it would see, had a different definition to the young woman then him but Alexander hardly bothered to argue, instead simply letting her continue as she made her way around the fenced ring at least one full rotation. His feet lightly dug into her further, encouraging her faster if only to see what she was capable of. His fingers balled into her mane, his body leaning forward against her as he uttered to her softly, "Faster, polý mou" He uttered softly, those greek words quickly coming his own name for the woman as he urged her onwards. He allowed her form to streak through the ring, making two complete laps of the ring before his feet shifted again.

"Good girl, slower now, slower. You've done well." His voice was soft, entirely pleased with the girl's efforts. There was clearly some ironing out to do and yet, he was entirely certain that she would do well indeed. He continued pushing his toes into her side now, encouraging her even slower than that trot that she had initially started out at. For a few moments, he allowed her to continue that slow, walk around the ring, his own gaze dropping to his pocket to fish out the cellphone, all the while remaining precariously perched upon the girl's back. "Hm...she should be here by now." He uttered softly to himself, his lips pressing together ever so slightly. He had texted Anastasia before arriving here tonight, informing the Grand Duchess exactly of where he would be tonight and too the bridle he wished her to bring. He knew it had been short notice but he hadn't expected that she might have experienced any trouble in so fulfilling his wishes, after all, Anastasia had never let him down before. At least - not in a very long time indeed.
