The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.
The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. The University places a high focus both upon educating future generations but also on research to help revolutionize the world. The University welcomes the talent of students across the world to enroll and unlock their unlimited potential. With applications from across the nation, classes fill up quickly.

See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch
Well. She was just bossy. That's what she was. Whatever these things were that were 'hers' he was entirely sure he didn't want them regardless and yet her declaration that he couldn't have them only seemed to see a frown make its way to his features. What a perfectly irksome child she was. A good slap on the wrist would have taught her some manners, of that he was sure and yet, right now, his views on parenting were perhaps hardly at the forefront of his mind. The man far more taken with the way in which the girl-child turned away from him. Greed and impatience her evident undoing tonight and yet to expect a child to be patient was perhaps too much as it was. It hardly mattered. Not to him. His hunger mattered more than anything else. The moment the petite little blonde girl turned to feed he felt his own hunger rise. He waited only as long as it took for her to become lost in her own blood lust and forgetful of the world around her as vampires were so often want to do when that blood first poured down their throats. It was that moment he chose to strike, closing the distance between them in a single long stride, one arm wrapping about her in an effort to limit her struggling, his teeth finding that vein in her own neck before biting down.
He cared little for the pain it might bring her, the man merely working to attempt to force as much of the venom into her system as he could. He could be gentle when he wanted to. He could be careful and yet the child was a risk. A bold one. He was not convinced she was entirely alone. An older, adult vampire was a significantly more potent threat, especially one so misguided as to believe it might need to protect the child somehow. He was hardly going to kill her. That was impossible. What was dead couldn't die again. He merely intended to drain her and to do it as quickly as possible. That sweet, warm taste of blood ran readily down his throat as he bit down, the man feeling that alarm and pain within her form as she tensed and yet he could hardly bring himself to care even though he knew he should. He would hate himself later. He usually did. When he was full enough to think of something other than being hungry- but not yet, not now. Her blood tasted delectable, Arlo finding himself readily pulled into that haze, the world itself ceasing to exist before he felt....something tugging at him. It was subtle at first and then undeniable stronger, so strong, in fact, her felt himself pull away from the veritable gash he's left in her neck, licking at the blood on his lips before he found himself suddenly hurled backwards.
A yelp of surprise finds its way between his lips before Arlo finds himself rather unceremoniously colliding with a tree with enough force to hear a crack of sorts vibrate through that empty space. Arlo considering, briefly, that it might well have been his back. Whatever had been holding him is released a moment later, the man groaning as he attempted to pull himself back onto his feet, flicking the leaves from his near-black hair as he did. Well. That was unexpected and yet what on earth had thrown him? Those sharp, vibrant blue eyes searched readily for another, older vampire, his tongue brushing along the tips if his fangs still. The man unable to stop that.....irritation, that aggression that burned within him at having been ripped away from a meal. God he was no better than an animal. His felt his fists bunch, reacting to the child's aggression with his own, that predatory nature seeing him bristle as he struggled to control it. The girl's shouting hardly helped, his own fangs bared momentarily towards her, blue eyes watching those shadows shift behind her. Was somewhere there? He couldn't smell them and yet that insecurity is all that is required to see Arlo does as he does best. Retreat. He was a scavenger at the best of times. No better than a vulture really, picking off already stolen meals. Fighting was hardly his style, not even against a child. Not when the fight was hardly worth it. The girl however, is hardly the only child here tonight, his arms folding across his chest almost stubbornly.
"You know, you're not even that cute."
Well, what else would you say to a child to upset it? Arlo shifting back then, yielding that ground to her, before at last turning away to press back into those shadows. At least he'd gotten something, though it was hardly enough. He'd have to hunt again. He turns then, reaching into his pocket to fish his little black notebook from within it, a pen retrieved from the other as he so dutifully printed down several words so as not to forget the child-like vampire, the man making several notes of description in turn. How he had been thrown remained a mystery, a question mark so placed against his description to remind him of just that, a grumble of irritation upon his lips as he brushed that bark from his jeans. This was a terrible night.
