South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

There was little doubt within Sterling's mind that this time, things were different. There was some subtle change between them, as if both understood they were gifted with a second chance and both wanted to fight for it. Henry had changed, of that even he could tell. His lover seemed, more often than not, wholly occupied with him. His gaze didn't wander when he thought that Sterling wasn't paying attention, he hadn't found a single baggie of any illicit substances within their house. In a way, losing their memories was perhaps the best thing that could have happened to them - after all, it gave them back each other. A warm simper crossed the man's features as Henry's arms surrounded him, those softly spoken words of adoration were enough to produce a flutter within his chest. God, the effect Henry had on him! That change of topic was welcomed, in a way, if only because those emotions within him made Sterling yearn for the sensation of Henry's skin against his, for the afterglow of all the things they used to do between those bed sheets.

Instead, a soft chuckle left his lips at the admittance that his boss was certainly a less than savory character, it was a suggestion Sterling to agree to. However, the man had given Sterling a job when he had no social security number, no identity, no job history - nothing. And for that, the boy certainly owned him something. Still, he had his relationship to think of now and, to be frank, spending more time with his lover sounded vastly more enjoyable than continuing to put himself through a job he didn't even wholly like. That bashful grin once again crossed his features as Henry admitted that he too would enjoy the possibility of seeing his lover far more than he did and in response, Sterling nodded firmly, entirely willing to see to it - for them.

That touch of Henry's hand upon his thigh was wholly, surprising to the warlock, his bright blue eyes slowly glancing upwards at his boyfriend at the simple gesture and yet, Henry seemed entirely at ease, unaware even of the simple proximity of Henry's hand to those more intimate areas upon the man. It was a fact that Sterling himself was acutely attentive to, that simple thought was enough to produce a small reaction within him, even if he tried to push those thoughts away. Still, he was thankful for the sound of that door, a soft breath left his lips as Henry rose. He watched as Henry made his way towards the door, that smell of chinese food was enough to momentarily distract the man from any other desires entirely. He hadn't realized exactly how hungry he was until that moment. His stomach growled with hunger as Henry placed those boxes on the coffee table and eagerly, Sterling leaned forward. "Soup, please." He uttered, entirely looking forward to those utterly delectable wontons.
