South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

She could feel Frost's watchful gaze as her and Nadya made their introductions. It seemed he was relaxed but ready just in case any violence broke out, not that she was planning on it. Though she found fighting rather enjoyable, she really wasn't a violent being. She just spoke her mind and was ready to defend her own thoughts at any time. She also had a tendency to never back down. But she had nothing against Nadya or her cubs and didn't mean any of them any harm. If anything, if they were pack then they were automatically protected in her opinion since that was the pack instinct, to protect what's yours. She felt Frost in her mind as she mentioned her confusion about shopping, assuring her that women tended to enjoy shopping and bonded over it. She scowled and shrugged.

"Can't we just hunt or spar instead? I like those much better."

She glanced at Nadya then, seeing the spark of interest when clothes was mentioned. She sighed, her voie a little less eager.

"Though I guess I could use some more clothes...at some point."

There, she was trying to be more open about these things. When she mentioned her distaste of mannequins and fur, Frost explained it for Nadya and she nodded in agreement, her gaze turning to him with curiosity when he mentioned a hiking store.

"Do they have leather things there?"

He should know she was going to ask. They were soon all distracted by the children running around though. Izzy, the girl cub, seemed to find fascination with tails, going from Frost's more wispy hair to her own fluffy tail which she thumped and moved around for the girl's enjoyment. At Frost's questions, she shrugged and gave him a look as if he should know already.

"Of course. My former alpha Caesar did like to expand his lineage, as all males tend to do."

She smirked toward Nadya, sure that she would agree. Then they turned to the subject of riding, Frost assuring Nadya that the cubs were old enough to learn and that they should have good balance. She tilted her head, listening with curiosity. He then turned to her, explaining that to some humans, horses were considered a pet as well, just like a dog or cat. She wrinkled her nose at the idea of something so big as him being captured and used by humans, though a new thought came to mind and made her snicker a little.

"Do they have silly clothes for horses as well?"

She was most certainly trying to picture Frost himself in a pink tutu skirt or one of those ridiculous hoodie sweaters she'd seen on dogs and such being walked on leashes. It was quite the picture to behold. Though horses seemed to have it worse, having to carry a human on their back. She scowled, almost feeling bad for him.

"Doesn't that hurt? To have someone so big on your back?"

In her world, being on top was a dominance thing so she could understand why humans would do it, to try to make themselves seem stronger as a species to a prey creature. They were predators after all, just like she was. They wanted to strike fear in other creatures, to show they were the better race. But to have to carry one for extended periods of time? It seemed cruel to her and yet Frost seemed to accept it, even offering his own back to Nadya and the cubs. Then she thought of the other word he used. Her brows furrowed.

"Hunters? So you help kill other prey animals?"

The only hunters she knew of were the ones with guns or bows that traveled through the woods looking for a buck or doe or even sometimes rabbits or squirrels. He didn't mind taking humans out to kill other animals? She just wanted to understand. He paused for a moment then brought it up as a challenge, saying some woudl see how long they can stay on his back. Her brow raised and her eyes twinkled at this. Ah, so he would try to throw you off, like he did to her when she was attacking him. That sounded more natural. Then he told her that he would let her try but she would fall right off. She glared at him but gave a smug smirk.

"You mean like when I got you by the withers during our spar? I believe I held on just fine and that was in my coyote form."

Then he offered for Nadya and her to go hunting if they wanted but told them not to bring the meat back because he didn't like it. She snorted, thinking of when he took her shopping and brought her fried chicken but ate a salad himself instead. He was missing out on so much but he didn't seem to see it. She shrugged.

"Suit yourself."

She glanced at Nadya, wondering what she wanted to do. She might just want to hang out with her boyfriend or whatever. In which case, Malia would do just fine hunting by herself. Nadya seemed very disagreeable to the idea of a hiking store, her lips curling as if she smelled something bad. She said that there were other options besides stooping that low and Malia caught on that she must mean it's an inferior place to be. She glanced at Frost in question. Surely he wouldn't be trying to send her to a worthless place to get clothes. He said that he wanted her in decent clothes, after all. But this was something she didn't understand at all so she just silently shrugged it off. Nadya brought up her confusion on Malia's dislike of mannequins too, pointing out the same thing Frost said when they were shopping. She flicked her ears back.

"Frost said that. I still say if you want to see how it looks, you should have real people stand there. To me, that would make more sense but what do I know?"

She knew she had so much left to learn about the human world and sometimes it frustrated to her to no end. Everyone else seemed to accept the fact that mannequins exist and sometimes bears and wolves get made into clothing for humans to wear. She just didn't get it. Malia could sense Nadya's anxiety about the cubs riding a horse. She finally told him that she wouldn't let them do anything she herself hadn't tried first. Malia smirked a little, wondering if she would get to watch this to see for herself how hard it would be. If a large cat can do it, surely she could too. Malia glanced over at Izzy again, thumping her tail again in an invitation to play but suddenly the cub was held to the ground by an invisible force. Confused, Malia glanced at Nadya, noting the concentration in her gaze. So she was doing that....whatever it was. Interesting.

At Nadya's question about more shopping, Malia blinked but nodded.

"Sure, okay. I guess I could always use more clothes, right?"

She glanced at Frost, as if to get his opinion. This would be her third shopping trip since turning human. Maybe she was getting somewhere in this new world after all. She watched as the cub was then released from the ground and Nadya went over to her, telling her not to bite before giving her a sloppy kiss. Izzy ran over to tackle her brother and Nadya then told Frost that they'd already eaten. Malia scowled. Guess she would have to go on her own, after all. She shrugged when Nadya offered an apology.

"It's okay. I can hunt for myself. You two kids have fun. I'll be back later."

Dipping her head to both in farewell, she turned on her heels and took off into the woods to find some decent grub.
