The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Raven, he had decided, was the very sort of person given to kindness in almost any situation. The woman quick to assure him his social failings in this were hardly worrisome and indeed almost anticipated. True length and breadth of the supernatural world was, at times, still very much a surprise to the near ancient Fae. He had missed so much of it that he was often given to forget ot indeed, understand at all, just the depths and richness of cultures other species may hold simply be being.....of that species and yet, foolish though it was- Dorian so came from a time in which being unable to hold an in depth conversation with another upon any topic they chose was very near akin to social suicide. This, he was sure, was why there were approved topics of conversation in most settings and yet he quite adored to learn off this Were world all the same, even if it might be considered unusual for him to admit his own short comings in the knowledge off this- and to a woman no less! Dorian making every effort to adapt to the modern day and modern world ad so admit to his desire to learn. The man hardly disappointed. Raven was nothing if not accommodating even in regards to those topics he sensed were perhaps not favoured by the woman. The Monarch careful to treat them with respect all the same as he queried that wolfish nature and too the manner of packs as a whole. That closeness shared between those within it was new to him. Dorian unable to fully understand that connection and yet he surely never would. After all, packs were certainly not something Fae formed and as such the Italian was unlikely to ever experience it. Still, he made every effort to listen all the same and too- add a few off his own words in some effort to further understand. Dorian unable to help that smile that touched his lips at her assurance that her mates love was not something she doubted. That, surely, was the most important thing.
"I am trying to understand this modern world. I am getting there, slowly. I am less afraid of things now in the least. I will navigate it confidently in time, I am sure."
He offered softly, his words more a soft musing than anything else and yet they were undoubtedly true. Dorian still attempting to learn not only this modern way off life but those changes in nearly every facet of the world around him. Learning of those other supernatural species was of great intrigue. The man not yet even sure he had come to know all there was in regards to vampires and he spent near all his time with one! Were's were yet another new topic to be learned off. This particular problem of a feral nature however was something different altogether. Dorian frowning slightly in contemplation off it. Was such a thing evolutionary? Or was it merely a...glitch of sorts in the girl herself? Nature so rarely allowed such things to develop for a reason. Dorian inclined to wonder if the girl had always possessed such a thing and yet that shake off her head so saw the man cease to pry any further. The Fae unaware that she too so attempted to conceal her own curiosity upon those things he mentioned off his own birth before she moved to assure him that there was no cure for her condition and those triggers remained uncertain, Dorian thoughtful once more.
"Perhaps it is protective then, a defence mechanism. If your early life was less than ideal it may have developed as a method of protecting yourself. We are what we need to be to survive."
He added softly upon the end of those words, such ideas perhaps far more meaningful then he so intended them to be, his gaze flicking briefly away to view those people around them before returning to Raven, hoping his words might somehow have lessened that shame she felt and he was assured was unfounded. Perhaps there was a way yet she might be free of that. Dorian storing such an idea within his mind for further consideration before the girl suddenly seemed to shift the conversation entirely to something less personal in a sense- a tactic that so reminded the Fae of Sebastian in that moment, a touch of amusement alighting his features before he allowed himself to be led from those feral notions. Her questions on both his species and the years in which he was born momentarily catching him by surprise and yet that simper touched his features all the same. She had told him off Were's in some capacity, surely she was owed the same in return.
"I fear I should not know at all what to tell you about Fae. Let me see. We are immortal though there are not terribly many of us in the world, at least, not compared to the other species. We are not particularly fortunate when it comes to having children you see, whatever it is that makes a child Fae does not often pass on. We can create Fae through other methods but......that is rare and unpleasant. Many believe Fae to be the most fragile off the species though I am inclined to disagree, we are far more stealthy then most in the least, when we chose to be and we do indeed have somewhat pointed ears though I chose to pretend I don't notice that about myself."
His head turned just so, amusement touching his words as he allowed Raven to note those slightly pointed ears, Dorian perhaps a little vain in regards to them though he rarely admitted as such.
"As for the fifteenth century in which I was born and lived, what should you like to know of it? Some of it was horrific, I shall not lie, yet, there is some of it I miss terribly all the same. The grand balls, the outfits, the glamour of things was very different..."
