South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Anna-Marie was entirely sure that the baby within Amelia's rounded stomach was dead because something without a heartbeat surely wasn't alive. However, Amelia seemed to fully believe the opposite. Perhaps she was in denial? The thought process of a mother always seemed peculiar to her. When they would give their lives to Anna if only to spare their child. The petite blond quirked her head slightly in curiosity even as she decided not to debate the fact with Amelia.

The French girl was only too happy to show off what she had been practicing instead. What child didn't like an audience to show off to? A broad grin crossed her features, happily crossing the distance to Amelia and taking her hand to pull her to the forest line. "I'll show you! It's fun!" She tugged on Amelia's hand only briefly to get her moving before releasing her. Anna skipped the few feet then planted herself firmly.

Anna fell quiet as she concentrated on the shadows. It was still a new power and took a lot of concentration on her part seeing as she wasn't quite sure how it worked. At first there was only stillness before the shadows themselves began to thicken and churn along the earth in front of them. Slowly at first then growing in speed and size, molding itself into a figure the size of Amelia. This figure though was not of a person but a monster. There was no real body to speak of, only a thickened column of shadow raised from the earth that curled forward where the imp head was formed with lanky, long fingered, and longer taloned arms at it's side.

"Look, look, I did it!" Anna broke her silence in absolute delight. Her gaze turned away from the creature she had created to look expectantly at Amelia with a proud grin now on her face.
