The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

It was true, Mira had her fair share of that slice of bad served to her on a platter. She had become accustomed to it. But it was that hope, that fragile little thing that she clung to that perhaps made her feel like maybe, just maybe there was a slice of hope out there somewhere. Perhaps it was that foolish notion that kept her alive and perseverant and perhaps it was also that last bit of childish light she possessed within herself. Regardless, she wasn't ready to let it simply go yet. Even with all the odds stacked high up against her, she had to cling on to it. If not, what was left in the wake of ruin of this bleak, dark, and fragile world? Hope sure as hell seemed to be the least of the worlds problems. It was the lack there of and the opportunity in chaos.
He called her cute, more in that taunting sort of way as if to get a rise, those snarling pearly teeth were anything but cute. If he wanted to get a rise it worked, she could feel her skin prickle, the hair on the back of her neck raise. Not that she would ever admit it. Yet she knew she needed a lot more antagonizing to simply just come undone, there was a little thing called self control and she possessed it in spades. She was, well, in her opinion, managing the situation to the best she could. If she went and just flat out attacking the horse she was just asking to be captured or worse. After all the man did have a reputation. Now, if she had a pack on her side. That would be a different story. For now, she would play it smart and continue this verbal banter, it meant no one dying and well that was a win in this situation. She wasn't convinced violence could be avoided, but why be the first one to cast the stone. She definitely wouldn't give him that luxury or seeing him get under her skin. Y et in a way he had already had thrown the first stone. The moment he used his powers against her, to threaten her, to manipulate her. She didn't like him already. Someone needed to wipe that arrogance off his long horsey face. He seemed like the kind of man no one said no to. He reminded her a lot of negan and yet, there was still something different about him. He still managed to hold himself back and that was well, odd considering his reputation. "If you use your powers against my will, especially if it is set out to harm. That is a declaration of war." She didn't entertain the rest of the gibberish he said, shaking her large wolf head back and forth as if to rid herself of some unpleasant thought.
All that carefully conjured resolve had been teetering, well that was an understatement. She began leaking all over the place as though her veins were cut and lava pooled and streamed everywhere. It would have been embarrassing if it wasn't so terrifying. It spilled over the rock, it made her glow in the most usual way and worst of all, she had no control over what she was doing. At first, she was convinced that Frost was the meaning behind all of this. It made her think unclear, made her turbulent and wild like the molten that churned within her core. She nearly went off in a maddened frenzy but her control was stronger than what was happening to her. She shook her paw as if trying to rid it of that lava substance, that ember landing upon him. She took pleasure in him backing away. Giving her that space she so wanted. You would think the banter would have stopped there and yet it hadn't. They continued and he continued his threats and his superiority complex. You had to give the man credit, he was consistent.
Regardless, she was backed in a corner, both parties knew it. She needed time and time was certainly not on her side. She really didn't have much of a choice. Every bone in her body detested the idea of going back to Negan's reign, being forced in those conditions once more was simply not an option. She had tasted her freedom and there was no way she was just going to let someone like Frost drag her back. She braced her paws, anchored on the spot. She was surprised she still had legs to stand on at the surprising way she appeared to be seemingly melting away and yet not. The poor damn boulder she stood upon couldn't take much more of this. It was the only leverage she had at the moment.
She already hated herself for agreeing to his terms. She hated being put in that position. She didn't bother to respond to him after his reply to think wisely of what he asked from her. He told her to keep still. She didn't like him telling her what to do. In truth she wanted to do the exact opposite, hell she wouldn't mind if she flicked some more embers his way. As much as it would satisfy her, she maintained her position.
His next words betrayed him. So these powers were not all his doing, he all but admitted it in that singular phrase. His words were almost soothing in a way and it was... perplexing. How one person could be so strangely controlling and then in his own way, attempting to help. But if it meant she wouldn't simply turn into wolf volcano and no longer exist then she would happily go along with this strange new side of Frost.
The man was certainly a mind fuck. The man needed a disclaimer.
The forest took on a life of its own, or so it appeared. It suddenly became a winter wonderland. If it was a distraction he wanted, he was getting it. She could feel that chill growing more and more, that cold calm washing over her. It was somehow.. peaceful. She would never imagine this moment ever feeling peaceful but it was as close as it could be. She focused on breathing that cool air into her, allowing that lava to cool within.
How was he doing this?
If she didn't know any better she would have thought the winter scene to be beautiful in its tranquility. She almost expected the snowflakes to sizzle on her skin and they didn't. Drawing in a calming breath, trying to ignore the confusing, unexplainable confusion around her. Frost said he grew up in a place like this. So why come here? "It suits you.." His name was Frost for crying out loud, she admitted it all the same and while she was curious to learn she kept her mouth sealed shut. Idly, she murmured. "I wonder if that has something to do with you being so cold." It didn't hold the bite she once possessed for him but it did contain a certain dryness.
"The what's it mabob? No I can't say I have. I speak English and Spanish, whatever you said doesn't ring a bell.." She had no idea the gibberish he just said, it sounded foreign, a whole other language that was entirely confusing to her. "Do you always speak in riddles or maybe I am just lucky." She huffed, wondering what those words meant. He said it was pity for her to be so closed minded to him or she could have been useful. She nearly rolled her eyes at the equine. "For once in my life Frost.. I just want to be useful to myself. I don't want to trade one person's chains for another." He could keep his little fantasy and throw it in a vat of acid.
Frost was unlike anyone she had ever met, the man certainly had his secrets. There wasn't any doubt that he had a story to tell. It was a shame he found himself on the wrong side of her wrath, threatened her and took a contract to bring her in. But yet, he never did. At what cost would buying her freedom cost her?
For but a moment, she saw a glimmer of someone she didn't recognize as a cold ruthless killer and something else. Was he truly that man that she showed the world? She doubt she would find out the answer, regardless it had her regard him a little closer. She was curious of this Ljóð Ãs og elds. Perhaps she would need to look it up, if only for curiosity sake. How did that even spell out?
Just like a switch, the ground was no longer covered in snow, the peaceful scene returned back into the night that once was, the rock below was partially melted and singed black. Had she really done that? The smell of burning filled the air. That cold retreated as if pooling back into the man as his demeanour returned to that arrogant cold creature that once stood before you. "I thought I knew what you were..are.. But you are one confusing creature."
She knew it wouldn't be the last of him.
She turned quickly, slipping off into the night, hoping her shadowy pelt kept her well hidden in that dark southern forest. She couldn't help but listen for the sound of hoof falls behind her, at least they never came. She hissed to herself, her eyes ever vigilant before she felt her temperature rising once more. That molten lava just beneath the surface threatening to spill. She refused to stop moving, picking up her pace, hoping she wouldn't see that strange reddish orange glow of her paws before she started leaking again. She couldn't let herself die, not like this.
