The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.
The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. You know when you have a near death experience and they tell you their life flashes before your eyes?
For Miya, it didn't.
Instead, she was hyper aware of everything that was going on around here. The touch of the ice-cold hand on her face, how her bag fell so very slowly to the ground with a quiet thud, seeing those lengthening fangs that started to descend towards her neck, that hard body flush against her own. It was in that moment she realized she was going to die. Alone in this alleyway with no hope of calling for help; she didn't want to die, the small Asian woman wanted to fight yet, her body was frozen. She wasn't even able to reach her hands up to attempt to shove her assailant away, instead, they hang limply at her sides, her eyes wide and watching in an almost morbid fascination.
A gurgled scream erupts in her ear as she jolts in surprise at the sudden noise, those fangs just barely brushing her neck, though she doesn't realize how lucky she is that those teeth don't break her skin. Stumbling backwards at the sudden release of her body, she falls to the ground, her chocolate eyes watching as the blade protrudes from the chest of the vampire. Blinking several times, she finally notices the man behind her assailant, his features contorted in concentration at the task at hand. Letting her eyes travel back down to the vampire's chest, she watches the new stranger withdraw the blade as the weapon simply vanishes from sight. Seeing the, now officially dead, vampire slump to the ground, she looks at the corpse for a long moment.
She was insane. This was a dream. It couldn't possibly be real!
She waited for that hysteria to hit in those few moments after the altercation. Yet, it didn't come. Perhaps she was in shock, or maybe this really was a dream. Brushing a hand across her shirt, her fingers come in contact with a cold substance. Glancing down, her brows arch at the blood that had soaked in her shirt. It took her a long moment realize that it wasn't hers, it had been the vampire's from a wound prior to meeting her. Shaking her hand, as if the blood would simply vanish from her appendage, the movement of the stranger catches her attention. Whipping her head up quickly, she watches as the man collapses to the ground, his back against the wall, his head almost lolling to the side.
Concern sparks in her eyes and that's all it takes for her medical side to launch into the forefront of her mind. Miya isn't entirely sure she can stand and instead, crawls to the stranger across from her, no embarrassment present in her features. Her chocolate eyes are focused on him, pushing away the traumatic experience that had happen only moments before. As she reaches him, she settles in front of the man, her eyes searching him for any presence of a wound. Though his hands were coated in blood she couldn't see any damage to himself. Furrowing her brows in concentration, she finally finds two puncture wounds on the side of his neck that look exactly as if the vampire had bit him. She should really leave. This wasn't something she wanted to get caught up in. Mi is about to open her mouth to inquire about the stranger's wounds before she feels his fingers brushing away her hair from her face.
Freezing, her eyes widen slightly as she watches him carefully. Could she trust this man? He saved her life but did that really mean anything? Pushing the thought away, she feels shame build up in the pit of her stomach. The man had saved her for God's sake. If he wanted to kill her he already would have and it was her duty as a doctor to take care of the injured. Allowing those conflicting thoughts to fall away, her eyes trail those puncture wounds before returning to his face as he speaks to her. "I'm fine," she responds in those soft tones, surprised that her voice comes out strong and no noticeable shake to it, "He didn't, but he grazed my neck," she states, her hand darting up to her neck to make sure it hadn't broken skin. Smearing the blood on her hand across her nape, she hardly notices before she reaches out that same bloody hand and tentatively touches his bite mark. "You... you aren't going to turn into that thing are you?" She asks faintly, returning her hand to her side.
Miya wasn't sure if she could do anything. This was something so far out of her world; though, she knew she needed to help. Pushing herself up on her wobbly legs, she moves as quick as she can to retrieve her fallen bag, thankful the contents didn't spill across the ground. Returning to the stranger, she kneels before him once more, before digging through her bag and producing a bandaid. Grimacing at the cartoon the characters that adorned the bandage, she quickly opens it and gently places it over the puncture wounds. "Sorry, I don't have anything else with me right now," she apologizes as she discards the garbage into her bag. "Can you walk? We... we should leave. My apartment is just around the corner," she gestures down the alley, not speaking the words that she was terrified to be here for a moment longer.
Waiting to see if he needed assistance, she rocks back on her heels, her arms wrapping around her knees, "What's your name?" She asks quietly, her eyes darting towards the dark end of the alley, trying her hardest to ignore the body on the ground. Suddenly, her eyes whip back to her savior entirely forgetting that she hadn't thanked him. "Oh-! Thank you for saving me, I-I wasn't sure what more I could have done," she mumbles, her gaze falling to the ground starting to feel the hysteria, that she so kept locked away, threaten to overwhelm her. Taking a few calming breaths, she manages to rid the feeling of hysteria, at least for the moment.
