death incarnate & night triumphant
It was guilt that so gripped Andras, though the Fae kept it hidden away as much as he could, he felt bad about destroying the woman's possession; which she so clearly held dear. The man decided then and there he would purchase her a new one and deliver it to her when he had a chance. As the woman speaks about her being taller than most, he glances down at her, those hazel eyes bright with amusement, "Ah, forgive me darling, I suppose you are not the smallest person I know," he quirks a sly smirk at her before continuing on down the path. As the forest began to thin, he enjoyed more of the sunlight that began to filter through the trees.
As she mournful comments that she will keep the camera, a pang of guilt echoes through Andras as he takes a look at the broken camera in her hand. Snapping his attention away from her quickly as she asks him to breakfast, his brows arch in surprise at her boldness. He's quite for a moment as he contemplates her offer but he's due to meet with Dorian for the day, he didn't need any distractions for the morning.
Watching her closely, he offers a lazy smile as she turns away from him to look at the opening in the distance. Following her gaze to find a car in the lot, he's thankful to see that she is the only vehicle parked there. As she makes another statement about them both needing the food, he offers her a small shrug, "Unfortunately, I can't accept your invitation this morning. I have matters to attend to," his midnight voice escapes his lips as the continue moving forward, "Though, I'm rather impressed you offered," he drawls lazily just as he reaches her vehicle.
Halting just outside of it, he glances down at Lani that sultry smile still playing on his lips. "I can assure you, Lani, that you do not want to know anything about me, nor would it be safe for you if you did," he offers her a wink before reaching out and opening the driver's side of the door open, beckoning the woman to step into the confines of her vehicle. "It was a pleasure meeting you, my dear," he says, reaching out to grab her hand as he helps her into her car. After she seats herself inside, he brings her hand to his lips and places a gentle kiss on it, his dark eyes meeting hers.
Releasing her hand, he straightens up, casually slipping a hand into his pocket, "Don't go wandering the forest alone again or around at night. There are things you do not want to meet in Sacrosanct," he warns her, his voice taking on a stern tone before he shuts her door and locking the woman safely inside. Lifting a hand, he waggles his long fingers at her in goodbye before turning on a heel and leaving in the opposite direction, both hands slipping into his pockets as he casually strolls away.
